I’ve always used the time during the National Anthem to check in with my dad and ask him for advice before the game. I can usually hear him say the same: “Have fun. Coach smart. Kick ass.” At Pitt, I felt like he’d add, “Look up. You get to do what you love, with the people you love. Stop being nervous, you’re already better off than the other guys.”

These are some of my favorite Pitt moments, most of it’s not on gameday because that’s what being a part of Pitt Lax feels like: when you’re together, you’re already winning, every day of the year.

Hail to Boss- for choosing me to be a part of this magic.

Hail to Riley, Mox, Joe, Kel, Aaron, Ris- because a place isn’t paradise unless you’re smiling 10,000× more than you could ever imagine!

Hail to these Family Feud-loving “Freaks”- thank you for making these two years the kind of magic only sport can give.
