“No Hard Feelings” is about making peace with people’s decisions. We used to have a dog that would beg to be pet, but he’d bite if you reached toward him. This song isn’t about the dog, but the sentiment stands.

“Good Woman” is a love song! Full of promises for yourself and others. There’s a link in my bio if you want to hear it. Particularly impressed by @samhowdenmusic and @fearsontheinternet making brass magic on this one.

✨ This song is dedicated to the good women in my life, all of whom keep me on my toes. ✨

I wrote it a long time ago when I had very different ideas on what it meant to be a good person, and a good woman. The song changed for me when I started sharing it with friends and bandmates. I have so many people around me with integrity & grace & talent & intrigue. Playing this track with them & for them has made me realize that my self & my friends are just as worthy of my devotion as any lover has ever been. Plus they’re hot as hell, which helps.

@devons.amps - electric guitar
@elusivemoosestudios - drums
@markypizz - bass
@fearsontheinternet - trombone
@samhowdenmusic - trumpet

I also got some amazing vocal coaching from @joliegoodnight

“Saint John Lay Your Hammer Down” is a story about a woman seducing her handyman. The band turned it into a hoedown throwdown, check it out wherever you listen to music.

I’m also turning 30 today! I’m at the beach with my friends. Thinking about li’l 12 year old me trying to play an F chord on the guitar my big brother picked out for me. I still write most of my songs on the same guitar, and my brother played piano on these songs we’ve been releasing.

The album comes out on June 26th, all 13 tracks. We’re throwing a house show to celebrate, you’re invited! Details to come.
