Today, I received the most thoughtful birthday gift —
a box of stationery, meant for writing whatever I need to say, whenever I’m ready.

We talked about struggle. About losing hope. About not knowing what to pray anymore.
And she helped me see something differently:

The hardest tests aren’t given as punishment.
They’re given because your voice matters.

Not because Allah wants to see you broken —
but because He loves to hear you speak to Him.

Thank you, Nadia, for the gift and the reminder.

Missing my son a little extra this morning. He was my rock when I was at my most fragile — my cancer was diagnosed just after his birth, and somehow, he became my strength and my medicine. Such a gentle soul, full of kindness. Sensitive, but incredibly strong.

Illness brought pain, but it also brought me closer to the people I love. This moment was one of those gifts. Alhamdulillah, I got to share a piece of Antibes with him — a place close to my heart, and now forever close to his. Roaming the old town like he didn’t have a care in the world. by @caraamimi

I share these moments to remind myself that seasons always come and go. My cancer journey has shown me that there is truly a time for everything.

Right now, I’m savoring a rare peace in my own skin.. comfortable, unfiltered. My little ‘spring’ before treatment begins again, with the swollen body, the patchy hair, and everything that follows. Nothing is forever; everything is temporary.

Next week, I fight again. But this time, I hope to step into it with more wisdom, knowing this isn’t happening to me, but for me.. and I will let it move through me. So I can release all that no longer serves me and grow into the person God intended when He created me.

Our family (my sis in law family included) road trip from Antibes to Monaco brought us to the Oceanographic Museum 🐠 — a palace of the sea, built in 1910 by Prince Albert I, clinging to the cliffs above the Mediterranean, like a guardian of the deep. It feels like a place out of a storybook!

Of course, we had to visit the aquarium (our must-do anywhere — the kids are fish-obsessed 🐟). Raga and Naya loved seeing a real-life axolotl (pic taken by them) and exploring the futuristic Monaco 2050 exhibition. Antibes always has a piece of our heart.
A quick glimpse of our day—morning swim, long lunch, and probably the best gelato of my life.

Throwback to sunny days in Cap d’Antibes.
Hot sun, cool breeze, cold sea water! The kids are jumping off cliffs, and laughter echoing off the rocks. I swam nearby, treading water and capturing their joy, looking at my son so brave in the sea. Subhanallah I saw my beautiful, healthy family… and me-healing quietly in my own way (alhamdulillah, amin yra). Cancer still lingers, but so does love, strength, and presence. Nothing perfect, but everything real. I take life as it comes—with gratitude, with grace..

Fluffiest cheesecake of my life 🍰🇮🇹
Stumbled upon Michelangelo Mamo in Antibes just as they were setting up — lucky me, got a table for four that same night. Their “Little Italy” cheesecake was divine, and the grilled squid in Neapolitan tomatoes and the leek raviolini? Molto bene. A comforting, delicious surprise. ✨ taken in Mamo by @caraamimi

Paris was caught in a storm—but we missed it by hours. Disneyland done under the sun ☀️, tucked back in our rooms just before the skies broke.

The next day? Off to Antibes by train—our first time traveling through Europe as a family 🚄💕
Some fuss, some nerves (those quick train stops!), but mostly joy and excitement.

Grateful for the perfect timing. Côte d’Azur, here we come! 🏖️👙🍦
