Happy birthday, Herman-the-German! 🥹

Dankie dat Pappa die planmaker, probleemoplosser & gereeld die rede vir ’n lekker lag!

Al krap Pappa amper die hare uit die kop sodra ek begin met:
“Ek het nou bietjie gaan dink…” weet ek pappa sal my so nou & dan in die rede sal val, probeer plan maak & op die ou end maar help om die gedagte ’n werklikheid te maak.

Pappa se liefde het nie altyd net gewys in die kere wat jy my opgetel het nie, maar ook in die kere wat jy my in die diepkant gegooi het sodat ek self kon leer swem.

Bloed kruip definitief waar dit nie kan loop nie, & hoe ouer ek word, hoe meer besef ek hoeveel van Pappa ek saam met my dra - die ongeduldigheid heelbo aan die lys!🤡

Dankie vir elke avontuur, les, stywe druk & ‘Pa se willehonne’ ♥️ Ek is trots op alles wat Pappa is & alles wat Pappa al bereik het.

THE CAPE WINELANDS & WESTCOAST
Some journeys are about the destination. But this one is all about the ride.

The bikers have been making their way from Cape Town all along the West Coast to Lambert’s Bay.

Along the way they’ve:
🍷 Stopped at a few incredible wine estates.
🌊 Followed the coastline & watched seals, seabirds & the Atlantic coming alive.
🦞 Tasted local favourites - from fresh seafood to bokkoms (West Coast dried fish).
🛣️ Ticked off some of South Africa’s most scenic roads & coastal towns.

In 2024, I had the privilege of guiding the Hájek family on my very first solo safari - a coast-to-bush safari covering more than 2,500 kilometres across South Africa.

One of the hardest goodbyes at the airport I’ve ever had!
Two years later & we’re together again in Africa. 🇿🇦🇨🇿

The whole family isn’t here this time 🥹 We’re missing Kaya and Hot Mama… But having Daddy & Nonnie back feels like a full circle moment.

Another golden wildebeest from our May safari with Miro!

A safari is never just about the hunting. It’s about the people who share the journey with you along the way. From the trackers & lodge staff… Apparently even the dachshunds. We all become invested in your adventure.
