INTRODUCING IDP ~ CARA BREEDING (SHE/HER)

Cara Breeding (she/her) is a movement artist from the United States. She started her creative journey with dance at age four in Houston, Texas, with ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop and continued her training at the Joffrey Ballet School’s Jazz and Contemporary trainee program as a teenager and recently earned her BFA from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Contemporary Dance with an emphasis in composition. Cara has worked with artists such as Akira Uchida, Jennifer Archibald, and Norbert De La Cruz III and in a highlight of her time at the Boston Conservatory was able to perform 18+1 by Gustavo Ramírez Sansano. Cara is currently inspired by various improvisational movement techniques, dancing in heels, music, acting, storytelling, and community, which has driven her to an interdisciplinary approach to dance. She looks forward to her journey with IDP and learning new methods to communicate through movement.
