𝖳𝗐𝖾𝗇𝗍𝗒-𝖿𝗂𝗏𝖾: Silvia and Guillermo grow coffee and dragonfruit on their 4 hectares in Huila, and when Silvia found some unused Pacamara seeds her brother-in-law had been given, she planted them on the highest point of the farm. Five years on, they have a beautiful washed coffee that tastes better than their Castillo, brought to us by our friends Laura and William at Minga Coffee. ☕️⁠

Guerrero, Mexico. Up in Montaña Alta, between 1,400 and 1,800 metres.⁠
⁠
Small lots, natural processed, Typica, Bourbon and Mundo Novo. This lto tastes like a bakewell tart. Marzipan, chocolate and cherry as espresso, softer as a pourover with a bit of raspberry and something floral behind it.⁠

It's a part of the country that gets overlooked. We get to buy from here because of our friends at @Ensambles.coffee , who spent years building trust in the region. by @caravanroastery

It's the last week to get the Sholi Top Lot 😿. Don't miss out on the GOAT. Our team visited Sholi last year and had the most amazing time learning all about the Co-operative. 2,000 members, started by 30 women in 2008, working with us since 2020⁠

Our team cupped through the competition lots in Muhanga with Sholi's quality team. Anything scoring 87 or above is in the running, the best of it goes into this one blend. ⁠

Have you considered your coffee's commute may be more interesting than you think? In Peru's Lauca valley, three families move their coffee out by zipline, because there's no road worth the name. In Rwanda, smallholders row their cherries across Lake Kivu, one of only a few lakes on earth at risk of a limnic eruption, where dissolved gas trapped deep in the water can suddenly burst to the surface. by @caravanroastery

𝕥𝕨𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕪 𝕗𝕠𝕦𝕣: you can expect notes of chocolate, marzipan, cherry from this natural coffee grown in Guerrero, Mexico.⁠
⁠
Grown in small forest plots around farmers' homes, alongside other crops much like a lot of Ethiopian coffee. It's an old practice from the region's indigenous producers, and it comes with real environmental benefits: less soil erosion, more wildlife habitat, better soil structure, and carbon sequestration.⁠
⁠
Guerrero has long been overlooked by the Mexican government and vulnerable to cartels, and farmers could often only sell to coyotes who'd cheat them. It took years for our friends at Ensambles to build trust in the region and we've seen real investment from farmers in their crop quality since.⁠

Don’t miss out on this year’s Sholi Top Lot.

We’ve worked with the Sholi co-op since 2020. We visited this amazing female founded co-op in summer last year, where we cupped all the coffee lots to select the best, which have all been combined into this TOP LOT. ⁠
⁠
Why the goats? well, we wanted to award all the producers that had been selected. At the co-ops request, this was to be in the form of Goats. This year we awarded 80 goats to the winning producers! ⁠

Expect notes of Cola, Plum & strawberry. 🍓
