Card Fest: North Wales is coming to the Arena at Venue Cymru.

What started as a placeholder announcement is now becoming very real on the back of receiving our first illustration from @black_cat_rhi

On 30 January 2027, Card Fest takes over the 1,550m² Arena at Venue Cymru for our biggest North Wales show yet — and we are bringing the full Card Fest experience with us.

Expect:

110 curated vendor tables;
A dedicated Sponsor Area;
The Discovery Zone;
Artist Alley - showcasing a curated selection of artisans and artists;
The Clubhouse for sports collectors;
The Collectors Hall;
A live TCG tournament on the main stage, streamed throughout the venue;
Arts & crafts;
Video games;
Scavenger hunt;
Family activities;
And plenty more still to come.

This is not just a bigger card show. It is the next step for Card Fest.

We are bringing the same passion, community focus and curated event experience that has shaped our Preston shows and building something special for collectors across North Wales.

And, as with every new Card Fest location, we are introducing Founders Tickets.

These are discounted tickets available throughout the day as a thank you to the people who support Card Fest from the very beginning and help us establish the show in a new home.

Next up, we’re welcoming @solway.collectibles to Card Fest — and they’re bringing some serious variety with them.

Covering both sports and TCG, their table spans football, Formula 1, WWE and Pokémon, making this one of those stops where completely different collectors can find themselves rummaging side by side.

Whether you’re chasing your favourite footballer, looking for an F1 pickup, adding some WWE to the collection or sticking firmly with Pokémon, there’ll be plenty to explore.

Football. F1. WWE. Pokémon.

A proper mixed collecting table — and another great addition to the Card Fest floor.

Welcome to Card Fest, Solway Collectibles.

6 DAYS TO GO.

The countdown continues — and now comes the important question…

What are you hunting for?

A vintage Pokémon card you’ve been chasing for years?
A One Piece grail?
Your next sports card?
Something graded for the display?
A sealed box to stash away?
Or are you just coming with absolutely no plan and seeing what finds you?

With dozens of traders getting their stock ready for next Saturday, thousands of cards are about to make their way into The Atrium — from affordable binder fillers to the kind of pieces you stop and stare at.

Part of the fun of Card Fest is never quite knowing what you’re going to find!

Card Fest is growing – and we’re hiring! 🃏✨

What started as one show has turned into a full calendar. We’re planning 10 shows a year in venues across the country, so we’re looking for two freelancers to help us bring Card Fest to more collectors, families and traders.

📋 Freelance Event Organiser
• Experience in events, admin or project management
• Able to juggle multiple shows, vendors and venues
• Organised, detail-focused and self-driven
• Confident with Excel / Google Sheets
⭐ Bonus: you’ve coordinated a show with 50+ exhibitors

💷 Paid per show
💻 Freelance & mostly remote, with show-day attendance
🎴 Love TCGs and collectibles? Even better.

Interested? Send us a DM to apply. Want the full role details first? Just ask and we’ll send them over.
