Yesterday at @runsurfcityusa I was interviewed by @abc7shayla about my race experience that morning….

It was such an emotional race for me because I was so anxious about this being my comeback race and I wasn’t sure how I would perform after all this time off. I had waited so long for this moment and just wanted it to be epic…to be perfect..

I had NO IDEA that my interview would be a large potion of this piece! I thought Shayla would have used a couple sound bites at best..

Funny thing is how everyone had been telling me they “saw me on the news” and would send me little bits of the story —the irony is that I don’t have cable so couldn’t access it despite my curiosity😜

Big thank you @kleincreative for making this full copy for me. I am not technically savvy to be able download it off the internet.. 😂 So this is the full story..

It was an incredible comeback race day and I am so grateful for this special memory! ❤️ Thanks @abc7shayla for this AWESOME keepsake!

—and not shocking I used the word FOMO in my interview.. I’ve been using that word at nauseam the last two years.. 🤪🤪

I am done sitting on the sidelines.

I’m ready to train harder and continue to get better!

PINCH ME! It was so good I am convinced it was a DREAM!

Man oh man tonight was epic!!! Seeing
@pink up close again (I mean second row up against rail close😜) like we did in 2019 was beyond amazing!

So grateful for @fitariesmami and @cherbear227 for helping me hold down the fort for over 6 hours so we could be as close to P!nk as possible!❤️

I had prayed she would sing — I Am Here—because it reminds me of my mom and she delivered! So many great ones too! So What? Get This Party Started, Just Like A Pill, Who Knew, I’m Just A Girl, Give Me A Reason…..the list was endless..

So many amazing moments during this show:
1) Watching little kiddos on parents shoulders singing to
P!nk and one little girl with pink dyed hair in particular singing to Four Non-Blondes What’s Going On..

2) Hearing Willow sing Cover Me In Sunshine at the end of the set with her mom

3) Watching the “interpreters” sign for all the songs with such passion and joy

4) The dancers.. freaking awesome.. especially the dude in the sequin blue pants..😂

6) Lastly the cool people that stood with us for 6 hours—who kept our spots as we dashed to the Porto Potties (the real bathroom line was endless—I wasn’t waiting my festival waiting for the loo😂)and grabbed drinks. I missed dinner but honestly it was so hard to say up front I refused to lose my spot just because I was hungry.😝

Her covers were incrediable and showed how versatile she is as a singer/performer…I’m definitely spoiled getting to see her so close again and being in such a small venue at the beach! @theohanafest you didn’t disappoint!

Can’t wait to go next year! My cup is full!

I literally died waking up to this message this morning from @karagoucher! My incredible friend Louise is in Tokyo working at the Olympics and just sent this to me! If you don’t know—Kara is one of my running heroes—an Olympic long distance runner (marathon). Her dedication to her sport even after having a baby has been so inspiring to me! So for her to take the time to send an inspirational message to me when I’ve been feeling so bummed lately is beyond!😍

Truth be told I’ve been so sad lately dealing with an old Achilles injury that just won’t heal and because of it I have not been able to run, train or race. It has been killing me.. I am literally dying of FOMO and self pity and it has sucked. I am trying desperately to fix this injury but haven’t been successful—yet.

Thank you @karagoucher for the sweet message, for being an inspiration and amazing role model for me and my girls!

Happy Thursday friends! Get out there and enjoy your health and wellness! If you can run—do it! If you can walk-do it! Just take advantage of being able to MOVE freely!
And hey if you are up come join me today at @clubsport_ren for 9:15am Cycle and 10:30am Vinyasa and/or tonight at @iheartyoga_org in the studio at 5:45pm for Vinyasa and/or 7pm Vinyasa! I may not be able to run but I am still teaching!❤️

Seeing so many familiar faces from years ago come to our Silent Soirée at @clubsport_ren last night was icing on the cake! Just sad I didn’t take more pictures— but I was out there dancing!

@silentdjamerica were super fun and the option to change channels throughout the night was actually super fun!

And happy birthday Maral so fun celebrating a bit with you! ❤️

Second year getting to go to @sunsoaked with @cherbear227 and loved the girls day so much!

We have no problem hanging the entire marathon day of dancing on the sand—definitely not our first rodeo!🤣

Loved our custom hats from Beatbox which was worth the wait—came in handy for the sunny day at Huntington Beach❤️

We were lucky to the catch Me N U set and met them after 👏🏽😍

@kaskade was amazing as always and finished his set with fireworks which always makes me smile! 🎆

This year we stayed through Cassian to the bitter end… I do think Sidepiece last year was better 😳😳😳😜

Can’t wait for the next event!

@glenivy_spa you were just what we needed! Since I got clouds drizzle and thunder in Palm Springs this past weekend —I was lucky to have planned a girls day yesterday and had a little Vitamin D!

The Morning Glow Package started us off with mimosas and breakfast before the grotto! Which I needed driving the 133 and 241 trying to miss rush hour.🤣

Rounded out a full day of 5 minute cold plunges four times and lounging the rest of the day with espresso martinis and dinner… it was a relaxing and full day!

Can’t wait to do it again!😍❤️

Operation @disneyd23 Ewok buddy acquisition with the A Team Girl Gang (missing Corina🫩) was a success!

Shout out to my girl @sueyagerbomb who suffered in the most epic line for us to be the first to own the Ewok Buddy❤️❤️ They were so much cuter in person we got one for each of the us. Paige didn’t get one saying they are “ugly” but continues to collect Fuglers🤣😳

So happy to bump into our favorite photographer and friend @goofys32 for a “a couple shots” with Gizmo and the other Ewoks😍

We had so much fun racing around with our buddies and got to finally try the Grogu Millennium Falcon ride.. super cute but we need better pilots 🤣

We lucked out with a last minute reservation at the Blue Bayou for espresso martinis and some cake before watching the Galaxys Edge Fireworks show with @dancemom_of_4 ❤️

Best view of the spires is up top for sure!

I have not done any overnight trips in 2026 —let alone having a girls weekend with my seestor @cherbear227 ❤️❤️

Due to unforeseen circumstances Sean couldn’t go to @rufusdusol so I asked @cherbear227 to come!

I forgot how nice it was to just “hang out” in San Diego without a care in the world with my seestor! Usually a girls weekend was attached to a race weekend😳

I’ve never taken the Amtrak to San Diego so it was a nice surprise except Business class was sold out for the trip
down and the train was sold out so we didn’t have seats— well I found one and Cheri stood the whole way down. 😳

We got down in time to trek down to the merchandise table outside of Petco and randomly bumped into @gbomb68 who was ahead of us…

Prior to the concert we had some insane “Badass” margaritas at El Chingon— including a full size creamsicle!🤯

I saw Rufus du Sol last year at the Rose Bowl and was blown away and the opener @the_benboehmer we saw at @odesza last year as well!

We had amazing seats behind home plate but the nets were still up so filming the actual stage was pretty much impossible..😩

But the music… the vibes.. it was magical. And you know I love a good laser show but add fireworks to Innerbloom and I am speechless!

After we went to Star Bar which lives up to the google description “Long-standing local favorite with a grungy atmosphere, pool tables, a jukebox, and some of the cheapest drinks in the downtown area. Suffice to say we closed the bar down with our new Venezuelan friend Rodolfo. Who knew google translator would be so helpful!

I don’t know how I was able to function this morning with a splitting headache but French toast at our hotel and grapefruit mimosas were just what the doctor ordered.

When a member of Team Wrong Way calls and says she’s going to be in town and wants to meet up at @disney - you answer with a resounding YES!

Leila is one of those people that just wants to enjoy life and have fun without judgment so I knew it would be the perfect day!

I started the day rope dropping solo and went on Guardians a few times until she got to the park! It was a treat since Guardians has been a 90 minute-120 minute wait for months and honestly the crowds were so light for a Sunday (I blame the World Cup and say thank you!)

The best surprise was @fitariesmami crashing the party for a few hours for laughs and cocktails! Never a dull moment with these two!

We got our 70th Disney plush ears and despite them weighing a tonne —-the cute factor out weighed the discomfort 😜

Since Irene had never been to the Animation Academy in all the years she’s been a Magic Key holder—- I felt it was my duty to take them and we ended up drawing Grogu which was a first for me!👏🏽

I insisted we get the River Belle Fantasmic Dinner Package and it was awesome and allowed us front row for the show which is key!

We even found my favorite photographer @goofys32 “out in the wild”. Even though he wasn’t working he did take some incredible photos of the fireworks and Paint the Night Parade which is at the end of this reel!😍❤️ Loved that he could hook up even for a few minutes!

Thank you Leila for rallying until the bitter end and always being up for anything! You are such a joy to hang with and it was so nice to forget all my challenges this year for one day!

Love you girlie and we must plan a girls trip soon!
