After a mom visits a pregnancy center, what does she remember?

Irma Rodriguez, director of @firstembracepregnancycenter in Orlando, hopes she remembers seeing Jesus in the people who served her.

That’s what Christ-centered care looks like. It meets a mom where she is and points her toward abundant life.

Abortion rests on the idea that an unborn baby is human, but not yet a person. But if personhood depends on ability, it can be redefined at any stage of life.

But our worth was never based on what we can do. It’s based on whose image we bear. And since every life carries that kind of value, our care can’t stop at birth either. That’s what it means to be Pro-Abundant Life 🩵

Roland Warren and Nancy Pearcey unpack this on the latest Care Cast episode. Link in bio.

Can someone be human but not a person?
That’s a distinction Christians need to understand when discussing abortion.

Scripture doesn’t separate our humanity from our personhood. We are made in the image of God, body and spirit, with dignity that doesn’t depend on our age, abilities, or level of development.

Nancy Pearcey explains why this matters and how a biblical understanding of human life changes the conversation.

In December 2021, Faith and her husband experienced their first miscarriage. They had been looking forward to giving their daughter a sibling, and the loss was devastating.

When Faith shared her grief with a friend, that friend sent her a devotional on miscarriage recommended by someone at Care Net.

A few months later, Faith joined the Care Net team and became friends with the very person who had recommended that devotional.

Since then, Faith and her husband have welcomed their rainbow baby, but they’ve also experienced more losses. Through each one, her Care Net colleagues have prayed with her, cried with her, and walked alongside her in grief.

“Because of her willingness to show compassion in the midst of her own grief, to offer hope and help to someone she didn’t know, I received healing.” — Faith

This Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, we remember the babies whose lives were brief but deeply loved, and the mothers and fathers who carry their memory.

To every family grieving a baby they never got to hold, or one they didn’t get to hold long enough, your baby’s life mattered. ❤️

Senator Josh Hawley @senatorhawley and Christians leaders are calling on Congress to take action on abortion drugs. But their Declaration for Life doesn’t stop at legislation. It also calls on the Church to stand ready to help mothers, fathers, and families facing pregnancy decisions.

“God loves you. We will help you.”

That’s a commitment we believe the Church must be prepared to keep. Comment LIFE and we’ll send the full story straight to your inbox.

Before we change how people think about abortion, we have to change how they think about human life 🩵

Every child has a story worth telling and a life worth living.

We believe in a future where mothers and fathers are supported, families are strengthened, and children have the opportunity to grow into all God created them to be.

This is what it means to be pro abundant life 🩵

As the church, we are called to teach the biblical value of human life. Every person is made in the image of God, and that truth should shape how we love and serve mothers, fathers, and families.

Being pro-life isn’t just what we stand against. It’s about how we live out the gospel.

That’s what it means to be pro-abundant life 🩵
