In 6 months he learnt 2D video development and absolutely blew my mind when he said that he gets clients from Tiktok too. Omo no matter the platform, just learn how to sell your skills because it's one thing to have a skill, it's another to know how to market it especially when it's not something that people readily need.

We are definitely inspired by Khalid's story. whether It's small chops, painting or 2D game development the goal is to make money with honest work and we hope these stories inspires you to start something, no matter how small.

If you ask a Nigerian student what they want to be, you will hear “Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer” and many other titles. But if you ask them what they want to build, a lot of them are clueless.

For project Build-it, we challenged 95 students to shift their focus from titles to solutions. We used the “Architect Mindset” to show them that whether it is a global giant like Apple or a local hero like Glo, everything started with a simple “Build.”

My favorite moment has to be Watching the students fill out their Architect’s Blueprints and noticing how their minds had already shifted from thinking they were too young to seeing their age as an advantage. From believing they have to graduate before beginning their careers to being curious about how they can start where they are and with what they have.

Indeed we are shaping the future of work, one child at a time.

Many people who land incredible roles or scholarships didn’t feel “qualified.” They just applied and were very surprised when to get an accepted.

You miss every opportunity you don’t apply for because you disqualified yourself first.

There’s 61 days left in 2025.

“Madam, who do you think you are addressing like that? Because it most definitely cannot be me.”

Yep, that’s the opening line of my HR’s response at the time.

Prior to this incident, I had no idea CAPS was considered shouting. None.

So there I was, trying to stress my point to HR, typing COULD NOT in full caps, like I was writing a headline for Punch newspaper. Next thing, my madam gave me a full lecture about being sassy.

The group chat was on fire. My Colleagues were watching and laughing offline while I was just there, staring at my phone like, “how did we move from 0-100” 🤣

So yeah, I have carried the embarrassment on my head so you don’t have to. Please, never message your superiors in CAPS, it comes across as shouting.
