Chances are, if you know me, you know how much I love old things—the stories behind them, the people who came before us, and the places that make Oklahoma feel like home.

And that’s something I really want to pass down to Charlie.

I’ve always believed you have to know where you’ve been to understand where you’re going. So I decided to turn our standing Wednesday date night into a little tradition of our own.

Every Wednesday after I pick him up from school:

📚 We go to one of our favorite bookstores where he gets to pick out one book. (Usually at @fullcirclebookstore or @commonplaceokc )
🏛️ One historic Oklahoma place
🍽️ Early supper at one of our favorite spots Maxwells

Nothing fancy. Just a few hours together, learning a little bit about the place he’s growing up and hopefully making some memories along the way while also learning about our ties to the state and its past.

And this is where I need your help:

I want to make a list of 52 places to take Charlie—one for every Wednesday of the year.

Historic homes, museums, old buildings, landmarks, tiny museums nobody knows about, Oklahoma oddities, Native history, Western history, Route 66 stops… anything with a story behind it.

OKC is our starting point, but I’m happy to venture out for the really good ones.
