Are you considering curly extensions? Here’s why clients love them 💕

* More volume — extensions are perfect for adding fullness if your curls feel thin or flat.
* Added length — achieve longer hair without sacrificing your natural curl pattern.
* Balanced shape — Extensions can fill in areas with less density for a more even, flattering shape all around
* Natural blend — When matched properly, extensions enhance your curls instead of changing them.

Hey everyone 🩷
There have been some exciting shifts in my career, and I’m so happy to finally share them with you.
For those who are new here, I’m Cari, and I’m now working at Citrine Extensions Lounge as a Curly Extensions Specialist.
As a curly girl myself, I know how hard it can be to find someone who truly understands your texture, and how unattainable long, full, mermaid curls can feel. That’s why I’m so passionate about creating seamless, natural-looking extensions designed specifically for curly hair.
Moving forward, you’ll be seeing more curly transformations, extension education, and elevated texture-focused content, with color still woven in.

I literally could do this all day 🩷

Are you considering K-tips? by @caristyles__

Be honest… what’s the longest you’ve gone between maintenance appointments?
Let’s talk about it!

Weft extensions are an amazing option for so many reasons, but proper maintenance is key to keeping both your natural hair and extensions healthy.

Generally, we recommend scheduling your move-up every 6–8 weeks. This is the sweet spot before issues like matting, tangling, or unnecessary strain on the scalp can start to occur from grown out wefts.
Staying on top of your move-ups helps protect your natural hair, maintain the integrity of your extensions, and keep your install looking its best. ✨
Because extensions are fabulous… but healthy, well cared for hair is even more fabulous 🩷 by @caristyles__

And just like that, she had her inches again 🥂

2 rows, 2 hours, too good 💅🏼 by @caristyles__

I remember the first time a client cried in my chair because of how happy she was. Getting to see her evolve in real time and seeing the confidence my work gave her was something I’ll never forget.

I sometimes feel like our industry gets overlooked because people see the visuals, but don’t always take into account just how important hair can be for someone’s self confidence.

As hairstylists, we have this unique ability to craft art that enables beauty and confidence in our clients. And seeing the joy in their faces to me is the most rewarding part of my job.
Everyday I feel truly blessed to call this my career. 🩷 by @caristyles__

The versatility of curly k-tips are unmatched! It’s truly the best of both worlds 🩷

Did you know you could wear your extensions straight too? by @caristyles__

3 things I’ll never compromise during an extensions install:

1. Comfortable tension ✨
I’ve had quite a few clients come in expecting extensions to hurt, or telling me they’re anticipating pain with them.
Extensions should feel secure, not tight. The right tension protects the hair and makes the install comfortable to wear.

Extensions should never cause pain!

2. Intentional placement ✨
Every row has a purpose and should be taken into consideration when installing the hair.
There’s nothing more uncomfortable than extensions rubbing on your ear, or being visible because of poor placement.

3. Seamless blend ✨
Extensions aren’t just a method of putting hair on your hair and running out the door.
Everything should be taken into account, from the roots of your color to the ends, and especially the density.

These details are what make an extension install look and feel RIGHT! If you’ve been dealing with any of these issues, it may be time for a different approach.
