Nursery Makeover Part 3 🎀 The room is finally starting to come together!

After what felt like a never-ending search for the perfect shade of pink, we’re finishing the painting, installing the skirting boards and giving the ceiling a fresh coat too!

Slowly but surely, our vision for a timeless, English country-inspired baby girl’s nursery is coming to life. 🩷

They say having a baby will test your relationship. Sometimes the results are better than you could have imagined. 🤍 Seeing the person you love step up and take on a new role before your eyes is pretty special.

Becoming a mother challenges you and humbles you. There are moments when you simply have to accept help — to be dressed, fed, held up and cared for when you’re at your most vulnerable. That’s when you realise how important it is to have someone you feel completely safe being vulnerable with.

It’s not always perfect or easy. Anyone who says this process is, would be lying. But it’s the birth of 3 new people and that’s amazing to watch. I’m so grateful
I found a person who shows up when I need them most. My little girl has this man too. As her support and her role model.

Found this video in the Camera roll I didn’t get around to posting. Pregnancy is so different for everyone! It is an incredible human feat and I honestly think maternity leave should start from the day you find out you’re pregnant! It is also an experience I never truly appreciated or imagined would feel so special.

For me, the connection I felt with my daughter, the awe I felt for my body and the hope and excitement I had for this next chapter of life completely outshone any of the challenges. I’m so incredibly grateful to have experienced this.

And my bump! Wow. I have never loved my body more.

I’m still sad it had to end sooner than expected and even though I’m so happy to meet her, some days I wish I could put her back where she was safe and sound and we were together always.

Onto the next chapter but still cherishing this one ❤️

Georgiana Grace Barron 🎀 3.9.26

Our little girl had to make an early entrance into the world at 35 weeks. She is taking it all in her stride and doing so well. It’s been a more challenging start for baby & mum than we would have liked, with both of us needing some additional medical support but we are so grateful for the care.

She entered the world to “Here Comes the Sun” 🌞 and it couldn’t have been more perfect! All the doctors said “oh can you hear what song is playing!!”

Andrew has been an amazing father from her first minutes and it makes me so incredibly happy to know she has him. He has been an amazing support to both his girls through this process and I’m constantly reminded that I found the most wonderful person to do life with ❤️ so much love.

Can’t wait to do life as a family and see who is this little one becomes. We couldn’t love this sweet little darling daughter of ours more! 🩷

Size 18 + pregnant OOTD 🤎 Maternity style without the maternity clothes.

Look 3 styling my chocolate satin skirt — officially my favourite piece in my pregnancy wardrobe, especially because it’s not maternity clothing!

Finding stylish maternity clothes in a size 18 hasn’t always been easy, so I’ve loved finding pieces I can style around the bump now and keep wearing long after pregnancy.

Proof that a maternity wardrobe doesn’t have to be all maternity wear. 🤎

Nursery Series Part 2 🎀 The search for the perfect pink…

You’re either going to think I’m completely crazy or be deeply invested in this process 😂

It took 10 paint samples to find the right light pink for our baby girl’s nursery… and apparently the perfect shade didn’t actually exist. So I mixed two of my closest contenders, created my own custom pink and took it to Dulux to have it colour matched. 🎨

My biggest tip if you’re choosing nursery paint colours: paint your samples onto leftover pieces of wood and move them around the room. You can see how the colour changes in different light without ending up with 10 patches you need to paint over later!

Would you go to this much effort for the perfect shade… or have I officially lost it? 😂

Finding Maternity clothes has been a time. Can you believe a lot of maternity brands don’t go beyond a size 14-16! I was already a size 18 by the first few months of pregnancy so I needed to think outside the box.

I’ve been hunting down some options for a capsule pregnancy wardrobe. I need size options, affordability as I may only wear some pieces a few months and I need it to mix and match as much as possible.

This outfit is all from @targetaus (minus accessories) and was under $130 and all in a lovely chocolate brown 🤎

Maternity bra fitting at @bravalingerie 🤍

If I’m honest, one of the pregnancy changes I was NOT looking forward to was my breasts getting even bigger!!

Styling the bump 🤍 I’ve spent most of my life thinking about how clothes sit across my tummy — and now, for the first time, I don’t want to hide it at all.

I’m loving styling my pregnant body and celebrating this bump while I have it, so I thought it was time to try a proper bump-out look. ✨
