Time really does move differently when you’re watching your children grow.

One moment, they’re little… and somehow, years have passed between one video and the next.

So I’m learning to pause. To notice. To be grateful for the ordinary moments, the laughter, the little faces, the days I know I’ll one day wish I could return to.

In a world that can feel increasingly uncertain, my prayer is simple:

May they always be protected.
May their innocence be protected.
May they know love that feels safe, steady and true.
And may I never become too busy to cherish the gift of simply having them here.

For these moments.
For these girls.
For this life.

Grateful. 🤍💜 by @carla_cool

In uncertain times, I find myself wishing for the same thing - for myself and for others:

Peace of mind. 🤍

Because these days, peace feels like its own kind of success.

May we all find some in this lifetime. by @carla_cool

As August comes to a close, I’ve been thinking about some of the moments that touched my heart this month. 🤍

One of them was meeting Rocky, a beautiful 12-year-old dog I met at my Airbnb. 🐾
I had no idea I would form such an unexpected connection with this sweet old soul.

It’s almost a month since I last saw him, and somehow, every time I think of Rocky, my eyes still fill with tears.

Some souls just find you when you least expect them to. 🤍🐶

Rocky, you were one of August’s little heart highlights. by @carla_cool

Siblings reunited in Jozi and took a deeply moving trip to the Apartheid Museum. School teaches you facts, but standing here teaches you truth. They need to know their history. 🇿🇦#BrotherAndSister #Joburg #Soweto #ApartheidMuseum #Legacy by @carla_cool
