One thing about “natural” bridal makeup? it’s layered from start to finish 🤍

Even the skin prep is done in layers. Hydration, calming products, targeted prep, and thin amounts of product all work together to create makeup that actually melts into the skin instead of sitting on top of it.

The same goes for the makeup itself. Thin layers always wear better than applying a lot at once. It gives that soft, skin like finish while still lasting through photos, happy tears, dancing, and a full wedding day!

I loved creating Maddie’s wedding day makeup! She wanted to look like the best version of herself—enhanced, glowing, and timeless—and that’s exactly what we achieved. ✨

Something I like to share with my brides is that even the most natural-looking makeup usually requires quite a few products. The key isn’t less makeup, but how it’s applied. I work in very thin, seamless layers so everything melts beautifully into the skin instead of sitting on top.

For Maddie’s flawless base, I used a full prep and layering routine: toner, serum, moisturizer, primer, liquid foundation, cream blush + bronzer, powder blush + bronzer, setting powder, and two different setting sprays (oh, and a body glow routine as well! 😉). This is what gives that skin-like finish that photographs beautifully and lasts all day.

So while the final look reads as natural and effortless, it’s still a carefully built, full makeup application—just designed to feel lightweight and look like you 😉 by @carlaemakeup
