Dad, you were the best a baby girl could ever ask for. There really are no right words to say because no words could ever explain how much you meant to me or how much you will always mean to me. This just isn’t fair, and I still don’t know how to put into words that you’re not here with us anymore.
If you knew my dad, you knew just how special he was. He was kind, humble, hardworking, and the kind of person who would do anything for the people he loved. But most of all, he was always the funniest person in the room. He could make anyone laugh, no matter what kind of day they were having. He never failed to smile, and his laugh and sense of humor could light up an entire room.
Dad loved every person he met with his whole heart. He made people feel important, cared for, and loved. He never asked for anything in return. That was just who he was. He had the biggest heart, and I feel so lucky that I got to call him my dad.
I’ll always be grateful for every memory, every laugh, every conversation, every hug, and every moment I got to spend with you. There are so many things I wish I could tell you and so many more memories I wish we could make together. I wish I had more time, but I will spend the rest of my life carrying the love you gave me and everything you taught me.
One day, Dad, I hope to become even half the person you were. I hope I can have your kindness, your strength, your work ethic, your humor, and your ability to love people so completely. If I can become even a little like you, I’ll know I’m doing something right.
You will always be a part of me, and I will carry you with me in everything I do. I hope you know just how deeply you are loved and how many lives you touched simply by being you. I miss you more than words could ever explain, Dad. Thank you for being my dad, for loving me, and for giving me memories that I will treasure forever.
