🇯🇲 The beauty of this country cannot be fully captured by a camera lens or summed up by its endless breathtaking scenery…I can only attempt to explain from my own experience with recycled words, uttered time and time again, by all who have been open enough to truly feel the natural mystic that is Jamaica.

Its beauty is within the people, the land..the stories told by both. A history of resilience, spiritual fortitude, and triumph. Ancestral knowledge of the land and its healing properties…Wisdom passed down through each consecutive generation. Greetings that feel like tight hugs. Principles of manners and respect as a baseline for human interaction. Music spilling from every crevice and corner beside pots bubbling with food to fill your belly and warm your soul. A sort of rhythmic pulse that appears to run through the whole of Jamaica, even the quiet parts. Countless proverbs and parables to guide you on your way and ensure you that “better mus come”. Friends that become family and moments that become memories forever etched into your heart.

And while Jamaica gives so abundantly, we must ensure that we reciprocate the love by pouring back into the land, the people and the communities. Beyond the resorts, the scenery, and the experiences people travel across the globe to consume, there are still communities rebuilding and recovering from the hurricane. To truly love Jamaica is to pour back into the people with the same care, respect, and generosity that they extend to others.
