Summer is over and the kids are back at school but as soon as they started, they got a 4 day weekend 🤷‍♂️ So Rachel and Brady and Sienna visited and we spent the last day at Splish Splash. It’s so great to have the family together ❤️

So many core memories made and dreams came true on this trip of a lifetime. On our final day (Ravenna’s birthday), we matched Mickey & friends’ 70th anniversary outfits and had the most incredible character interactions. We park hopped to finish hitting all the rides and repeat our favorites, and of course watch the castle fireworks 🎆

We got around to exploring more of California at end of Route 66 at Santa Monica Pier. We took in the salty air, rode the West Coaster in Pacific Park, and got a caricature of the kids

Avengers assemble! Back to Cali trip posting… Our second park day was spent at Disney California Adventure. We dressed as Marvel characters and got to meet our heroes. At sunset (Sh-Boom), we watched Radiator Springs light up

On our “rest day” (lol), we spent the day in Downtown Disney where we surprised the kids with our Kentucky cousins! Our dumpling-squishy-obsessed kids had their first real dumplings at Din Tai Fung and later pulled 4 rare glitter dumpling squishies!

Our first park day we spent entirely at Disneyland. The biggest difference from WDW was the amazing character interactions and how close together everything was. I planned out 3 back to back night time shows (with a little hustle) for Fantasmic!, the Star Wars Skywalker Saga projections, and the Paint the Night Parade

We stayed at Camelot Inn & Suites literally across the street from Disneyland. We didn’t tell the kids it was a castle, so as you can see, they were shocked. We had a perfect view of the Disney fireworks right outside our door and from the rooftop pool, so the magic started before we even set foot in the parks

We started our trip in SoCal with the California Carlinos. We hung out with some friends on Independence Day, hit the waves in Dana Point, browsed the shops in Laguna Beach, and took a boat out in Newport Beach. It was just a few days, but packed with the best quality family time 🌊🏄‍♂️😎❤️
