I'm rounding the corner on this beauty made in Portugal 1970's. Absolutely not a stitch of quilting in it. This is why it took a beating. Flannette batting and hand applique of clamshell shapes, but done scantily. I reinforced all 12 blocks of the clamshells. Machine quilting will work hard for this treasured blanket. by @carlithequilter

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends and family. I picked this beautiful quilt I purchased at Victoria Quilters' Guild - Join Us November 6 and 7th Christmas Market. The quilts are devine. The placemats, bags, runner etc and now jewelry are beautiful and all are affordable!
We hold this event at Emmanuel Babtist Church 2121 Cedar Crossing Rd in Victoria.

My Canada Flag quilt made exactly the specs for a proper Canada Flag. All upcycled fabric used in the front and back. Crazy piecing. I loved making this quilt. I gave it to Nathan Cullen when he became Bulkley Nechako MP I think it was 2011. taken in Cowichan Valley by @carlithequilter

Ok folks I've fallen heavy in love with textile jewelry! Yes please! These are my first jewelry that will be available at the Victoria Quilters Guild Christmas Market. Nov 6 and 7th at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Victoria!

Sooke Quilt Show was a small venue but filled with beautiful and quilts I'd not seen before.

Thanks to Black Sheep Fabrics great $8 a m. fabric. You know I came home with some I hadn't seen before.

I visited the Sooke Quilt Show and while the show was lovely with all sorts of 100% cotton beauties, it was the Repair Cafe housed in the basement of the very same community hall that wowed me!
I met @sookequiltshow Erin Baye Long Armer and Upcycling Nut!

Quilts made from upcycled t shirts and more were on display in the Zero Waste Repair Cafe. Way to go Sooke for taking the leap and thinking outside the box.

I've been down and mending from a nasty chest cold. No real quilting of any kind. That's a rare time for me. But I felt a little better to make some Orange pins today. In solidarity with Truth and Reconciliation Day.

This quilt's origins began when I discovered Drunkard's Path quilt pattern. I fell in love with this simple but so diverse block and this was the first one I made.
