1 year ago, I birthed a baby who’s gender we didn’t know. When he entered the world, his daddy said “it’s a boy” and my heart immediately knew how special of a bond our sons would have. Brothers. It’s sacred and it’s wild and it’s beautiful. When Coleman was born, he didn’t have a name. I was never really sure what we would name the baby if it were a boy. We had a couple ideas but none of them felt right once he was here. About 30 minutes after he was born, John started listing off some names he found online. Coleman… I liked it. When we looked it up online, Coleman means little dove. Peace, calm, purity, innocence. And, it’s a fun outdoor brand. Sold. 🥹 His middle name is Michael, named after his uncle Mikey who died way too soon. We pray that Coleman will honor his uncle’s name his whole life. Coleman, you are everything we didn’t know we needed. The past year of your life has stretched me in every direction and it’s made me a better mother and person. You are precious and we are so proud of you. God has big plans for your life and we pray you chase after Him for all your days. Happy birthday buddy 🩵 Love, Mom + Dad by @carliventures
