Playing the Game Awards 2018, with a viewership of over 26 million people. The song is called „Devil Trigger“ and was part of the game Devil May Cry 5. It had gone viral before the game even came out, so @composercasey and @ali_edwardz got invited to play it. Thanks for pitching me as a drummer @maxtonwaller and thanks for having me @composercasey and @ali_edwardz! I love thinking back to this night - what a great memory!
On a side note: @rivers_cuomo of @weezer introduced our performance and we got to hang out with him a bit afterwards. Backstage I also ran into @brendonurie from @panicatthedisco and @ninja. All in all a very memorable night!
Also shout out to @rogerjohnson5 for fitting my beautiful green sparkle @pearl_drums set with these sick clear orange @remopercussion Colortone drum heads. What a match!! taken in Microsoft Theater Los Angeles, California by @carloribaux

Life was looking pretty grim last October, when I suddenly couldn’t use my left foot anymore. Osteochondrosis was the diagnosis. The surgery in December was very painful and nerve wrecking. But I‘m incredibly grateful I recovered fast enough to get to play all these amazing shows this year. Thank you to everyone who was patient with me. And much gratitude to everyone who helped me check off all these bucket list items:

🛢️ Touring through Europe, opening for my favorite band @kaizersorchestraofficial.

🌄 Playing my all time favorite festival @openairgampel with my band @victorykidband.

✨Headlining @openairbischofszell, the first festival I ever went to to as a kid. What a powerful experience!

🇮🇪 And finally: taking my Bodhràn hobby to the stage with @matekollektiv and @seeburgtheater.

What a crazy year! I hope I get to play with as many beautiful people next year, as I did this year.

Much love, Carlo

Last week I got to cross an item off of my bucket list: playing @openairgampel with my own band @victorykidband! I’ve been coming here almost every year since 2009 and it’s been my absolute favorite festival. Thank you for everyone that came out to see us and make us feel so, so loved! Thank you to @artistpool.bands for making it happen. And thank you my dear Andy for drumming up an enormous amount of family and friends and throwing the most epic pre-party. I love you!

Having so much fun dressing up as a pirate every night and playing drums and percussion (mostly bodhràn!) for @seeburgtheater. We‘re about halfway through: 12 more shows to go. Thank you all for having me and making me feel right at home from the very first day on!

Thank you to the amazing musicians: @evaweymusic, @thurler.daniel, @gspinatheater

The incredible cast: @moiralbertalli, Rahel Wolgensinger, Julia Barth, @sabina.deutsch, Tommy Müller, @georgmelich, @kaufmann.tamara, @lena.pallmann, Norina Makia, @tiredt_girl , Lotta Forster

Thanks to director Simon Engeli for steering the ship like the seasoned captain that you are!

And thanks to the great crew: @scandola_light_audio_media, @_supermicha @joachim.o.steiner, Achim Wehrle, Maria Sala, Damian Hitz, Christian Bühlmann, Peter Link

After months of preparation - composing, arranging, organizing, and intensive rehearsals over the past few weeks - tonight marks the premiere of the play „The Legend of Anne Bonny.“ Almost all tickets are sold out through August 4th. It is fantastic to be part of this wonderful crew and project as a musician, composer, and bandleader!
