**Group Show announcement*** As I’m enjoying my last days of vacation in Ireland, this drawing of mine is being installed in Boston.

I am so thankful to be included in this show alongside my mentor, @grimes5000, who played such a large part in my education at BU.

This group exhibition explores the artistic voices of the women visual arts faculty of the College of Fine Arts and underscores the importance of mentorship of and between women. Participating faculty members were asked to select the work of a former mentor or recent alumnae they have advised to be presented alongside their own. The exhibition highlights the conversations that arise through these channels of influence and examines the multiple artistic lineages of women artists affiliated with the College of Fine Arts.” by @carlyhp

Elephants (2022-2024), charcoal and mixed media

I had the immense pleasure of doing this commissioned piece for @maevequinlan over a three year period. She had the utmost patience with me as I stepped into a new career and got married, and throughout that time this piece lived on the wall of our home or came on the road with me.

Thank you for trusting me, Maeve! It feels like a time capsule of some formative years for me and a piece I’m proud of.

It’s his birthday and he’s so great and I found him on the internet.

To my birthday (week) twin, life partner and underpaid in-house barista, I’m so glad you were born and we found each other. When I think about this year, I think mostly about our day to day rhythms that are SO sweet and only deepen our relationship and feeling of rightness- walking the dog followed by espresso at home and working on our own projects together (the gamer that found a painter) as many nights and weekends as possible.

To my creative, beautiful, patient, wise, really really handsome husband - I ENJOY you and only love you more. Everyone that knows you is grateful to be near you and in your orbit. But I’m the luckiest.

fresh starts that come easily are my favorite
learning the nuance of when to push + take a risk, and when to pull back is all part of the next few passes
but for now, it’s all about the potential

i have a few outstanding commissions (thank you for your patience) but otherwise I’m returning to a path from my studies a few years ago and thrilled to turn my focus to creating a body of personal work in 2024

We spent the last day of our wedding weekend with our incredible photographers, @oliviandan, in Bath — slowing down to take everything in and fulfilling my personal dream of getting coffee in my wedding dress. by @carlyhp

We were married in an intimate ceremony on June 9th, 2023 in Somerset, UK at @ntstourhead after spending a week with our nearest and dearest at @the_manor_holcombe. My dad performed the ceremony, my mom @pickettspearls hosted everyone at the manor, my wildly talent sister @abbeypickett did my hair and makeup, @samskitchenevents created the best meal I’ve ever had and @notthatoliviacoleman made sure everything went smoothly, holding my hand the whole time. We cried and laughed the whole day and still cannot believe the love we experienced from everyone who flew across the world for us. All captured beautifully by @oliviandan. by @carlyhp
