I have been putting off this post for as long as possible because I can’t find the right words to accept that my youth soccer career is over. For the past 13 years, I have poured my blood, sweat, and tears into this game and have made the best memories of my life.It is extremely rare for me to be to say that I have had the privilege of playing under the same coach since I was 9 years old. G I truly don’t know where I would be without you and you will forever be a father figure in my life. I am beyond grateful to have had something so special that it’s this painful to say goodbye to. This team has been my life for the past 7 years and it will forever be engrained in my heart as home and the life long family I have gained is something that I will forever cherish. To my all my teammates and coaches along the way, thank you for shaping me not only into the player I am, but the woman I’ve become. You believed in me, pushed me, challenged me, and supported me through every step of this incredible journey. But most importantly to my parents. Dad thank you for always doing everything I needed to succeed at the drop of a hat. You are my biggest supporter and without all the driving, missing work and so much time with the rest of our family to get me wherever I needed, I would not be where I am today. Mom thank you for being my rock. You have always been my biggest cheerleader and been there when I needed advice, praise, and a shoulder to cry on. I am excited beyond words for what is to come as I move into the next chapter of my college career with @montclair_wsoc but will always be reminded of what got me here. Thank you for the ride, @cedarstars07ga by @carlyj_7

On May 25 the hardest and greatest journey of my life began. When I found out that I tore my acl and meniscus I thought my life was over. Not being able to finish out the season with my team, or play my senior highschool season seemed like the end of the world. Although it sucked to miss out, it was also the biggest blessing of my life. Throughout this recovery journey I have learned more about myself in the past 287 days than I have in all 17 years of my life. I learned about my determination, dedication and willingness to get up everyday and push myself to get back out on the field, even and especially on the days I didn’t feel like it. But I did not do this on my own. I want to thank my family for everything they have done from day 1 of rehab until now. Even when I got frustrated or upset they were there to help me. I want to thank my friends for continually checking in on me, visiting when I couldn’t leave my house, and distracting me through the bad times. Thank you to my amazing hs and club soccer teams for being the biggest cheerleaders throughout my recovery. You all found a way to make me feel like nothing had changed, and made every small victory feel like a major accomplishment. I am forever grateful to call you my teammates and my family. To my coaches, G Greg Frank Hunter and Marc, for making sure I never fell into the background and consistently encouraging me to keep going. To Max, for shinning your light down on me and being my driving force for the days I wanted to just quit but didn’t because of my calling to continue your legacy. And to Sharon and the entire elite and rypt team that was apart of my journey, by doing everything they could to get me back out there as fast and safe as possible. Lastly without this injury I would have never found my home for the next four years. I want to thank Coach Pat and Coach Erin for their unwavering support and believing in me in a time I felt no one would. As I begin this next chapter of finally being able to play after 9 long months I will carry the lessons I learned for the rest of my life and will forever be grateful and thank God for every opportunity I have to step on the field. by @carlyj_7

I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic journey at Montclair State University! I want to first thank my family for all the time they have put in and given up for me and my friends for putting up with my crazy schedule. I also want to thank my coaches Andrew Giallombardo, Hunter Gorskie and Frank Rizzi for shaping me to be the person I am today. And finally I want to thank Coach Pat and Coach Erin for the opportunity they have given me and continuing to believe in me throughout my recovery journey. Can’t wait for the next 4 years as a Redhawk! #ROLLSTATE #PlayforMax by @carlyj_7
