For my 10th birthday Lyn Marie King gave me a subscription to National Geographic Kids magazine. My walls were soon covered with pictures of snow leopards, orangutans and multi-coloured chameleons. It was a gift that truly changed my life. I’ve now been a subscriber for nearly 50 years (please don’t do the math) and I credit this beautiful magazine for nurturing my curiosity about the world and the people, places and animals within it. It has forever broadened my perspectives! Thanks Lyn and National Geographic! by @carmbythec

Today we celebrated my beautiful mom Millie and her heavenly birthday. Every year, we have a wiener roast and apple pie at Capilano Park. My pie attempt today was good / but still not as good as hers! Love you forever Mom! by @carmbythec

On July 26, 1944 my Uncle Metro (James) was killed in the battle of Normandy. He was just 25 years old. Let today be a reminder that the sacrifices were great for this fragile freedom. by @carmbythec

I'm asking those who love the outdoors to post a picture on your page. A picture that YOU took. Just a pic. No description. The goal is to restore peace and harmony without negativity, ultimately changing the algorithms.

Please copy this post and paste it with a pic on YOUR page, so we can enjoy each other’s beautiful photos.

Here’s mine. by @carmbythec

This is an Irish famine pot from the famine 1848-1852 in Donegal. As I watch the news of hungry Palestinians waiting desperately for food, I am startled once again by the cruelty of humanity. No child should starve. Ever. Anywhere. by @carmbythec
