All my exes live in Texas… and that’s why i’ll be hangin my hat in Tennessee #texasexes #georgestrait

To say i’ve been sentimental all week would be an understatement. For having a degree in journalism… i’ve been at a lost for words. It’s unfortunate this chapter of my life is coming to an end, because truthfully I wish it could go on forever. I found myself and the people I love here. I found God as well as trials and tribulations that fine tuned me into the woman I am today. I found opportunities and open doors that have allowed me the chance to explore new worlds and be my creative self. I chose Journalism on a whim and it ended up being right where I belonged. God knew all along.

In a few weeks i’ll be moving to Nashville, TN to pursue my dream career as a video journalist. Many of yall know me as a girl who loves to take pictures, well I think it’s time for me to take that to good use. I’m beyond thrilled to start that new journey and saddened it means my time in Austin has come to an end. But if there’s one thing God has taught me during my time at UT, it’s that his plans for me are infinitely better than the desires I have for myself. It also helps that a few of my favorite things are country music, good chicken, and mountains! I’m excited for this new adventure. And excited to see all that God does through me.

Thank you to my loved ones who have made it oh so hard to want to leave. Texas, you will always be home and have a place in my heart.
