Celebrating this week. One year ago, 7-30-2025, I got results back concerning the large lump in my neck that had been choking me from the inside. Thank the universe it was benign but still needed to be removed. Happy the say, thanks to the great team at Vanderbilt, 12/29/2025, they removed it and left my vocal cords undamaged but traumatized. The last several months have been really stressful, but I'm happy to say that recently I did the most demanding vocal gig and was able to get through a 90 minute set at the top of my range, paying tribute to our Dear friend, Olivia Newton-John. We performed in Bowling Green at the gorgeous SkyPac theater accompanied by Orchestra Kentucky, who was incredible. Getting to sing with Tabitha and Steve and the incredible band to honor our amazing friend was a beautiful experience. We love and miss you, Olivia. I would like to give a shout out to all my friends and family who have listened to me worry, cry and stress over the fact that my singing voice was in peril. I love you all so much and I'm so grateful to have such loyal, best friends, and family. I can't leave out the fact that I got to be on the same marquee as Afroman. 😂P.S. Running is also saving my life. I topped 7 miles today and plan on being in better shape for my next birthday than I was in my 30s. The last 4 days of the @talitopiaaa birthday extravaganza have finally come to an end. Happiest 29th to our beautiful Talia. Having the sisters together was the best gift of all. Pool parties, excessive sushi and matcha, brunch, rehearsals, more matcha, honky tonkin', album release party for Billy Bob, another pool party, more cake, more sushi and matcha before we put @velvetvaughan on a plane back to NYC.
