Autumn has draped itself upon us like a cool blanket of possibilities and what better way to welcome it than through community exchange of energy and ideas?

Join me this Saturday at the Rhythmic Arts Center for the September Time Share: Tea & Turntables where we will sip tea and vibe to vinyl ✨☕️

This is a showcase, a jam, and a gathering rooted in rhythm and community. Join us for an evening of performance, experimentation, and exchange featuring NYC tap dancers, educators, and choreographers alongside electronic musicians, underground bands, and contemporary movement artists.

The night honors tap’s deep lineage while making space for new voices—improvisation, composition, and cross-disciplinary exploration are all welcome here. Come as you are. Bring what you’re working on, what you’re curious about, or what you’ve been holding close.

As the evening unfolds, the space opens into a shared floor and jam. Bring your instrument, poetry, movement, sound, comedy, or improvised offerings. We’ll meet on a sprung wood floor, surrounded by percussive instruments, synths, and a room built for listening, risk-taking, and collective groove.

I hope to see you there✨ —>> sign up link in bio taken in Rhythmic Arts Center NYC by @carmenomenon

Stockholm Tap Fest 2026 (and some Slovenia content as a treat) - what. a. ride.

To share a common language. A language that’s components are not just auditory but visual AND physical - it’s magic. It is a never ending well of genius waiting for us to swim deeper. It is, to the highest extent, a gift. And a lifelong endeavor.

And don’t get me started on the people that share this gift with me. But I’ll let the pictures speak for me. taken in Stockholm, Sweden by @carmenomenon

caves • castles • cafes

Time is so slippery slidey these days. I can’t seem to grasp it enough to slow it down. It yanks me along and I look behind myself wondering how to ride its waves without getting water boarded — anyway this was April by @carmenomenon

Kicking off the week with a #tb to @chicagotapallstars’ 2025 Winter Wonderland show. As we grow in our artistry, what we focus on is a choice (we’re always going to notice something). Here’s what I choose to focus on today:

✨ The band’s arrangement of “Winter Song” which gave an already beautiful song a jazzy lift that made me feel like I was floating the entire dance.

✨ The fact that my outfit came together super last min because of a clutch light blue turtleneck find (s/o to @macys😂)

✨ @carmenomenon and I were up there having a BLAST performing a *commissioned* duet!

I will always see the growth opportunities. Today, I choose to celebrate the fun! by @carmenomenon

additionally, I have been trying to overcome this astigmatism through carrot consumption.

ok for anyone still reading you’re a real one and there’s nothing this move has taught me more than that I need real ones so let’s go get coffee soon. ok love you bye. by @carmenomenon

In the same way your heart feels and your mind thinks, you, mortal beings, are the instrument by which the universe cares. If you choose to care, then the universe cares. If you don’t, then it doesn’t. by @carmenomenon

I had the most fun teaching at the #chicagotapsummit2025 two weeks ago!

also I wore a whole jumpsuit for my intermediate class (i admit that while it was a cute outfit it may have not “technically” been a “jumpsuit” but I tried to google it and just got images of a bunch of uncanny valley people with the said article of clothing on and that distracted me) but did not get a video of that class and it makes me sad.

But also you should go google an article of clothing and tell me if that said article appears in the images on AI generated people. by @carmenomenon
