Happy Mother’s Days! Both of my parents were kind and respectful people. As siblings we modeled that behavior, especially around adults. I never heard my parents use profanity, or fight. ¡Feliz cumpleaños a mi madre, mi mejor amiga, mi confidente, co-escritora (y traductora), gerente y mayor fan! No sé dónde estaría sin ti y estoy muy agradecido de tenerte en mi vida. Te bendigo y te honro hoy. ¡Ayúdame a desearle un feliz cumpleaños! Y abajo dejo un poema escrito por mi abuela (su madre) en 2006 que creo que la abarca perfectamente:

Happy birthday to my Mom - my best friend, my confidant, co-writer (and translator), manager, and greatest fan! I don’t know where I’d be without you and I’m so grateful to have you in my life. I bless and honor you today. Help me wish her a happy birthday! And above I leave a poem written by my grandma (her Mom) in 2006 which I think encompasses her perfectly.
