‘Softest Place to Land’ is out today! It’s about feeling loved in a way that means you can truly be yourself - the downside to this is that you’re not afraid to show yourself at your worst - but isn’t it just the best feeling, knowing that you will always have a safe place to land 🤍 (link in my bio) I’ve been making and releasing music for over 18 years but this is the first time I’ve released something truly my own, so it’s been a long time coming! Produced & Mixed by Dylan Ollivierre, @dylan_ollivierre thanks for supporting me on this and pushing me along when needed, I’m so grateful to have such a creative force right here with me 🤍🤍 @jack_t_hill for playing drums @danhenry_ao for taking photos & general moral support @calvinbennettmusic for mastering & Sed Pepper @bigspiritmusic for the artwork by @carmypep
Who wore it better?? 😋 Good to have you home @dylan_ollivierre - just in time for a beautiful date night celebrating @jessff86 & @goffman89 ❤️ by @carmypep

So excited to be playing some songs in the round at @thesongwriterscafe next Wednesday 3rd June. In case you’re not familiar with it, this is such a gorgeous and intimate night of sharing songs. Playing alongside @elianiemusic @georginadacheff & @helenshanahan. Tickets are linked in my bio. Would love to see you there 🧡 📷 by Jarrad Seng by @carmypep
Dreams are gone so fast I’ve been giving it all up for you I know it’s what I was made to do Time to be honest It’s what I wanted, but I never thought it would be So beautiful but bittersweet Watching you grow like a seed Taking everything that you need Losing a part of myself Putting it all on the shelf So I can build someone else I’m learning how to forget All of the things I regret I need to build someone else Darling you know that I love you Just didn’t know I would have to break myself in two to build you #mumcore @mothernashville ❤️ by @carmypep
ABC Country are featuring ‘Softest Place to Land’ this week! The program airs Today (Mon) 11am AEDT with repeats Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday. You can stream ABC Country wherever you get your DAB+ Radio, via Channel 203 on your TV, ABC Listen App or ABC Country Homepage. Thanks @abccountryaustralia ❤️ by @carmypep
I cut a little piece off the end of my finger and stuck it back on, it’s healing nicely! But can’t use that finger so writing in DADGAD tuning means I don’t have to 😆 I always really love the sound of an opening tuning ❤️ by @carmypep
It’s so nice to be back in the world of music again, the past few years have been very full with family life and not much time for doing anything for myself. Thanks for listening - I’m very grateful for all the lovely feedback on my first release ❤️ more to come! by @carmypep
My first ever solo release ‘Softest Place to Land’ is out this Friday March 20! But I could really use your help… as an independent singer-songwriter, having people “Pre-save” the song ahead of the release is so incredibly helpful and will give it a little nudge, it’s like a tiny fish entering the big wide ocean full of much bigger fish for the first time. I would be so grateful, and it only takes about 1 minute. You can find the link in my bio or feel free to message me and I’ll help you out. 🙏 Can’t wait to show you. #Singer-songwriter #perthmusic #australianmusic 📷 by Daniel Henry @danhenry_ao by @carmypep
2016… what a year! The beginning of The Money War - We released ‘Recall’, which was added to rotation on @triple_j and then went on to be the 4th most played song on JJJ Radio for the year. We won the Southbound competition which secured us a spot on a very big stage with a bass amp almost as big as me 😆 Definitely a year to remember ✨ #2016 by @carmypep
