Started yesterday night and finished it in like 2h (max 2h 30') 😌😌 Couldn't resist and leave it half way through, so I finished it 🤭🤭

This is the first gift from @bellederebelle for my bday (21.02.) 🥺🥺😭😭❤️❤️
I couldn't believe what I saw when I opened it!! 😭😭😭
The thing is I didn't know there was a book before my favorite Ghibli movie, and suddenly I open the present and find this and I'm like: Whaaaaat??!! 😳😳😱😱 No waaaayy!! 😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍😍
The curious thing is that it's a trilogy and the second book is called like another of Ghibli's movies: Castle in the Air 😳😳😱😱
This film is also soooo beautiful, romantic and funny 🥺🥺❤️❤️

I started not so long ago this book, "The Painted Veil" from the author W. Somerset Maugham. The story takes place in Hong Kong during the British colonial era where a married woman called Kitty falls in love with a man, but her husband, a bacteriologist, discovers her love affair and decides to take her away to a village infested by cholera.

I highly recommend this book as it shows how one of the main characters, Kitty, has a big transformation during the story. The author also shows the reader that people can learn from their mistakes and grow if they are willing to.
