Mother’s Day… In Brazil it’s the second Sunday of May, in France the last. So here I am posting on neither (because when you have a newborn, you post when you can).

I loved living my pregnancy offline (sorry Instagram). I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced growing a human inside me. I can’t fully put it into words, so here I am, finally sharing some memories.

I’m beyond grateful I get to be her mom (yes, I’m a girl mom). 🩷🩷🩷

Can you believe I left Brazil for good in 2019, with no European passport and zero French? Best reckless decision ever! 😅

It wasn’t easy though: a master’s degree, French bureaucracy, endless titres de séjour, job searches, and even a pandemic. There were moments when I really felt like giving up… but they were followed by resilience, new opportunities, and eventually, stability.

France turned out to be the place where I’ve felt the most welcome away from home, and I’m grateful for all the amazing people I’ve met along the way. Can’t wait to see what the next 7 years will bring for me here! ❤️ taken in France by @caroldanslemonde
