K.-o.-Tropfen sind eine unsichtbare Gefahr, sie wirken schnell und hart: Innerhalb weniger Minuten machen sie einen Menschen willenlos. Sie löschen Erinnerungen und sind nach wenigen Stunden schon nicht mehr nachweisbar. Trotzdem sind sie in Deutschland teilweise legal. Ist die Substanz im Blut und dockt an Rezeptoren im Gehirn an, reagiert der Körper. Das Sehfeld verschwimmt, Schwindel, vielleicht muss man brechen.
Die Muskeln erschlaffen. Das zentrale Nervensystem kann die Korperfunktionen nicht mehr richtig steuern.
Die Schutzreflexe lassen nach. Der Atem flacht ab. Das Gehirn kann jetzt nichts mehr im Gedächtnis abspeichern. »Als hätte man die Festplatte abgezogen«, sagt Stefan Tönnes, Abteilungsleiter der Forensischen Toxikologie an der Goethe Universität in Frankfurt am Main.

Die Größe des Problems ist schlecht dokumentiert. Im aktuellen SPIEGEL berichten 45 Betroffenen von Stigmatisierung und Scham. Einige Falle sind vor wenigen Monaten passiert, andere liegen Jahre zurück.
