Match the Hatch Monday!..

Everything eats mahi, from humans to marlins... even mahis eat mahis. Juvenile mahi are probably one of the most encountered food sources in pelagic predator's life cycle. Even if a predator isnt on hunt for a mahi meal, a big dorado colored lure can serve as a confidence decoy in the spread. As the migration makes its way back south we cant help but think its time to start pulling mahi lures!

Match the Hatch Monday... Return of the Mack!!!

Tinker Mackerel, Chub Mackerel, Atlantic Mackerel, whatever you like to call them. The "Mack" makes up a major part of most pelagic predators diets, especially in the Northeast. When the fish get picky, its time to #matchthehatch

Flying fish are one of the most abundant food sources for pelagic fish. Certainly here in the Carolinas.
When you hear people talk about favorite colors blue and white almost always comes up and that because it mimicks a flying fish. When you talk about matching the hatch you cant go wrong with the flying fish. its always in season and always on the marlins menu.
