yesterday was my last official day as a Hemsley Intern! this summer has been an absolute blast. i have learned so much, been so many places, and met some wonderful people. i cannot thank the hemsley lighting program enough for this awesome opportunity and to paul and PCLO for having me. i will never forget this experience!
so what’s next? i moved to nyc amidst the chaos of the frozen co-pro travels with my partner and our two cats! so, if you are in nyc, i would love to make some new friends (and see some old ones too :) ) taking it one project at a time, i am around for anything!
stay tuned for more on my ig @caroline.nowak! if you want to get in touch with me, reach out there or you can email me at cnowak2k13@gmail.com
So long for now Hemsley 🫡

Last week I had the awesome opportunity to shadow at Lincoln Center’s BAAND Together Dance Festival!!

I got to meet and work with the lighting directors and companies of the New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theater, Ballet Hispánico, and Dance Theatre of Harlem!

I met so many wonderful people and saw some of the most beautiful dance pieces I have ever seen. The Koch Theatre is stunning! Thank you to Penny Jacobus, John Cuff and the Hemsley board for providing this awesome opportunity! taken in David H Koch Theater at Lincoln Center by @caroline.nowak

happy (belated) opening to Frozen!!

this show was an absolute beast and we got through it spectacularly!! i am so proud of the work that we accomplished! it is such an honor to work with such talented people and to be on the team with Paul and Jacob.

although this is my last show at the Benedum, fret not! we are taking this show on the road! Frozen will be going to Kansas City, MO at the Starlight and Lincoln, NE at the Lied Center! (which happens to be across the street from where I went to grad school! full circle moment) so there are more adventures and pictures to come :)

next week I will be shadowing Penny Jacobus at the Lincoln Center for the BAAND Festival, so be ready for more posts about my grand adventures as a Hemsley Intern :) taken in Benedum Center for the Performing Arts by @caroline.nowak
