dear owen, how do i start the letter i didn’t think i’d be writing. you were the most perfect and sweet boy on the face of this earth. whether you were on the field, with your family, or just playing those video games you always won and loved. what i would give to hear another “i love you”, “i’m so proud of you”, or even a “goodnight caroline” again. there is truly no one like you. thank you for bringing me into your life for eight whole months. you’ve given me memories that will never leave me. i loved being able to play with you in the rain and make you laugh with my random comments. i loved being able to see your cooking pictures and go to tulane games with you. i loved that you’d try and look up “football for dummies” just so i would understand the sport you love. i love that whenever i would talk your ear off all you would want to do is listen. without you i am heartbroken and at a loss. you have really touched a place in my heart that will never be replaced. thank you for letting me be who i truly was around you. i will take what you’ve given me to a new level. i miss those goofy noises you’d make when we played wii bowling against you and your dad to make us lose. i miss your stories from working at perk 73 that you’d come and tell me and my mom. i will never forget that the song yellow by coldplay was what i reminded you of and i will continue to listen to it everyday. i promise to save you green beans whenever my mom makes them. i promise to keep your memory alive. i promise to take care of sweet reed who looked up to you so much that he shaved his head because you gave him some money as he hoped it would grow back curly. i promise to stay close with the friends you love as i can see a little piece of you in each of them. i promise to keep talking with mrs. lisa and mr. jordan like we always did. i promise to stay in touch with lizzie and katie because i couldn’t have a better second family than yours. i love you owen phillip tabor forever and always fly high my kind hearted boy 🕊️❤️. taken in In the Stars by @caroline_jackson05
