POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m pretty sure Tim, Dolly & Yayoi Kusama would have appreciated me releasing my inner Frank’n’furter last year which I loved doing as a longtime fan of RPS & Tim Curry 😍

They’re united in life & in death as legends who created artistic work that entertained & moved people & that celebrated humanity in all its forms. They also all lived fiercely as themselves & broke barriers through doing that. They each stood up for equity & equality for all & against hate, discrimination & bigotry at times when it really mattered. It matters now, so it’s particularly painful that we’ve lost them but their legacy lives on RIP 💔💖 #franknfurter #rockyhorror #timcurry #dollyparton #yayoikusama by @carolinejb175

**Following on from previous post…rest of the song included now I hope 🤞🤞** Picked my hardest song yet for last night’s Sing Out Session organised & hosted by my amazing vocal coach @vocalperformancecoaching at our lovely local @ukartclub.
Such a gorgeous evening with 16 amazing soloists of all ages plus 2 fabulous group songs. The standard was very high & being the last of the solo singers once again, I def felt the pressure to not mess up.

I think pretty much everything I’ve learned in all of my singing life went into this one from doing a bit of Eliza “Wouldn’t it be Luverly” age 5, via various church, cathedral, uni & show choirs & numerous theatre shows, a few tv choir appearances (incl. Corrie, Don’t tell the Bride, A Word, Young Apprentice), plus a bit…ok a alot…of karaoke.
Can honestly say that having had only about 7 coaching sessions with Hannah over the last 18 months I’m singing better across my full range than ever at age 59!! I tell her she’s a vocal magician & she really is magic🪄🤩💖 Thoroughly recommend her & her Sing Out Sessions so come along next time 🎶🎤🥂🥰

Big thanks to my Seymour/Geoffers/Christian @danpcharles & my hubby @s_a_price for the support & to @raye for writing THE BEST songs to sing 💖💖

Ok I know it’s totally the wrong time of year for the outfit but couldn’t resist sharing this corker of a pic of me as Chris, the party girl & calendar organiser, from our recent Calendar Girls show. And it was definitely summer weather both onstage & off!

Happy summer everyone 🌻🥂🧁 😎🥰
P.s love @72_legion aka Cora the rocking vicar’s daughter’s face behind 😮😂😍 #manchestertheatre #healdgreentheatre #calendargirls #girlpower #santababy taken in Heald Green Theatre Company by @carolinejb175

Don’t think I’ve ever been so glad to have a holiday booked. Tenerife, we needed you before we lost Mum & now you’re helping in so many ways. Sun, sea, sand, sangria, seafood, Spanish friendliness & space to breathe 🌞🥂💐 🌊🏝️😎 taken in Playa El Duque - Tenerife - Îles Canaries by @carolinejb175

Has taken me a while to get round to posting this video of the song wot I wrote. Hold Onto Hope is a timeless anthem for that very basic, but beautiful thing, hope 💞💞💞
Almost every week something happens that makes it feel needed again, not least this weekend with what’s happening in Iran amid the ongoing conflict & displacement in Gaza, Syria, Ukraine etc. We can also all need hope at any point in our lives for the big things & the small things & the more we can come together to help lift each other up the better💪 🥰

The song had its world premiere (whoo) being sung by my lovely @hopemilltheatre Community Choir family at our Xmas sharing last year @hmtoutreach in a special arrangement created by me & our wonderful Choir Director Loz 🎉💖 Big thanks to Loz, Naomi, HMT & all our gorgeous choir members 🙏😘

So better late than never here it is, complete with my (obvs v funny) introduction & bows at the end. 1st time I’ve ever been given flowers on stage & hopefully not the last, hint hint🤞💐☺️

Hold Onto Hope is dedicated to anyone struggling with anything anywhere around the world, & to my Mum, always one of my biggest fans, on Dydd Gŵyl Dewi 😘

p.s. @the_one_show_official if you’re watching…feel free to DM me 😉 Ditto @children_in_need or @comicrelief or anyone else who may be interested in my song. If it helps people in some way to feel less alone, that’s a job well done 🥰
