Year 🖐🏻 at Camp Marymount.

Parker spent 4 weeks away at sleep away camp this year and that was HARD for Doug, Bo and I to be without her. She did get to spent 48hrs with us to break it up which made Bo incredibly happy. She lived her best life and had lots of her SJS friends join this year! We love Camp Marymount 🫶🏻 by @carolinekiesler

Parker was named @camp_marymount Outstanding Junior Camper an award given to just one junior camper each session. That’s amazing in itself, but what really got me were the comments from her counselors.

“She is sunshine.”
“She is kind and patient.”
“She is the first to encourage and lift others up.”
“She spreads joy wherever she goes.”

If you know Parker, you’re probably nodding your head because that’s exactly who she is.

As parents, we expect our kids to work hard and be successful. But we’ve always believed success isn’t the goal it’s the byproduct. The things we intentionally try to teach every day are kindness, (good)decision-making, and independence. Those are the wins we celebrate most.

Parker has always been generous with her light. She notices the kid standing alone, she cheers people on, and she genuinely wants everyone around her to be happy.

There are a lot of things I hope for my kids, but if they grow up and people consistently describe them this way, I’ll feel like we got the important stuff right.

Kindergarten graduation and the last school drop-off of the year… and this mom is (very) emotional.

Celebrating one big milestone while quietly mourning another because next year Parker heads to middle school, and somehow another chapter closes before I’m ready.

So proud of these kids and all they’ve accomplished this year. Trying hard to slow down and savor it all. 💛💙

Hendersonville Middle School Girls Lacrosse

Year One of the program❤️🥍

This season was something special. When the original coach had to step away right before the first game, a high school junior stepped up not because he had extra time, but because of his leadership and love for the game. Watching Will take that responsibility on was inspiring in itself.

I had the privilege of stepping in as an assistant coach alongside him. I hadn’t played in 20 years or reffed in over a decade, but these girls brought it all rushing back. Their energy, growth, and heart reminded me exactly why I fell in love with lacrosse in the first place.

I didn’t have the time for this. I never planned on doing it. But life gave me a rare chance to be present in something I didn’t know I needed, especially alongside my daughter.

Influencing girls at this age and level is not for the weak. It takes patience, consistency, and a whole lot of heart. But what an absolute honor to be part of their growth not just as players, but as young women finding their confidence, voice, and toughness.

Getting to coach Parker is something I’ll carry forever. Chances are I won’t get that opportunity again, which makes this season mean even more.

Eleven years of watching the best parts of Doug and I come to life in one incredible girl.

She’s strong, kind, funny, and effortlessly makes our world brighter just by being in it. Being your parents is the greatest gift.

Parker had her first dinner party, Galentine’s Day 2026!

Good china, cheeseburgers, flower arranging (because who needs boys to buy you flowers anyway 🌸), framed photos, sweet quotes, mini cupcakes & macaroons.

Friends from school were laughing, dancing, and having the best conversations.
