in this last year without you, i have learned many things. most importantly to keep the people you love close and tell them how much they mean to you. one day you wake up and they are there and the next they are just gone. the feeling of grief and absence never goes away. i wish more than anything that i could get to talk to you one last time, give you a hug, or tell you how much i love you, but i cant. there are so many things that i wish i would have said and wish i could just have one more second with you. anyone who knew my dad, knew he was the life of the party and the center of attention. he lived to try and make everyone smile and brighten their day. conner, charlie, and i were his absolute world. he went on and on bragging about us and all the awesome things we were going to do in the future. now that i am going to college soon, i am heartbroken that he is not here to see it. i pray everyday that you are watching over me from heaven, proud of the person i am becoming. i would give anything to have one more conversation with him and tell him how much he means to me. i hope someone can learn from my grief journey. please never forget to tell your loved ones how important they are and that you love them.
