ONE YEAR OF OWNING THIS BUILDING
What a labor of love this project was. There were countless days where we didn’t think we could do it, but every single person that lent even 15 minutes of time to help made this possible. We are so proud. Lots of work to do still, but watching this progression is mind blowing. We love you all 💜🤖💚

To celebrate 1 year of owning @nostosmma we went and saw a musical parody of a film we love, Saw… @sawthemusical at the @thehillartsme was so much fun!!! It ends this weekend and it would be a travesty if you don’t both support this production and also support your own need to go out and have some fun!!!! As they said, “If you don’t f^*king die, you’ll be glad you’re alive

Nostos MMA A journey through the years
In 2014 @william.e.jones.7 gave me the opportunity to take over The Shop MMA after years of his hard work in that facility creating something special.
When I took over and made @nostosmma I didn’t know what I was doing. I worked 645-315 m-f at a passport center while bouncing on the weekend nights, teaching BJJ for St. John prep weekend mornings, teaching at Nostos weeknights and still training and fighting professionally.
I don’t know how I did it all but it eventually led to me and @carollinnpow to be able to just run Nostos full time.
I remember over 10 years I first went into this old Asian supermarket thinking “man this would be a sick gym location!” Several years later we got the opportunity to buy it. But after lot of hard work, the owners “changed their mind” and pulled it off the market. Leaving us still in our old spot where we were desperate for more space even after pouring concrete into the dirt basement and doubling our sq. Footage. We tried looking at other spots and nothing felt right. Flash forward to Jan. 2025, they put it back on the market and gave us first dibs. 6 months of paperwork, pleading to get the bank to allow us to buy it, environmental tests, and huge down payments later we finally owned it! We signed the paperwork 1 year ago today. After that we spend 11 straight months demolishing this old building and creating our dream facility. And it was just that, a dream. Something I thought of endlessly in my head, drew a sketch, asked the architects to make it as close to this drawing as possible while still passing all the codes and inspections. It was more work than anything we could have been prepared for. We knew before we opened it was all or nothing. Were we ready? No. But hell, who is ready for the scariest moment of their life. Through so much help we pulled it off and are just over a month occupying the space. What a journey these last 12+ years have been especially the last year and a half. Excited for the future. Bill raised a crew of fighters at his old shop while I trained at seacoast mma about 20 years ago. Almost 2 decades ago we linked up. And here we are now. Comment a memory you had here. In April, I surprised my husband with a weekend in New York City to see Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway. I was so convinced he knew everything, but he had absolutely ZERO clue. What an incredible sport he was to keep it all a surprise until the very last second. Thankful for our @americanexpressbusiness points that made this trip possible in the midst of our huge @nostosmma renovation project. We had an incredible time 🫶
