When I hear the intro to End of August, I can feel the Georgia late spring morning, taste the Sunroof coffee that I sipped on as I listened for the first time. I didn’t want to think about where I’d be at the end of August. I didn’t want to think about anything beyond that weekend of Caamp, Lawndance, and Senior Celebration.

At the time, I was learning to trust God with so much unknown. My summer, my job, my roommates, my apartment. I couldn’t picture anything past Georgia (not that I had any information of what to picture), which is funny to look back on now.

It’s the end of August now, and it hasn’t been half as scary as I’d imagined it to be. Everything I was so worried and prayerful about turned out better than I had imagined. What I couldn’t picture then is just my life now, and it’s better than what I couldve planned.

Nothing is completely perfect, but it never was anyways. One thing I know about life is that it goes on. There is somehow always someone right around the corner that you suddenly can’t imagine life without. There are experiences, big and small, that change your thinking permanently. There are wonderful surprises and belly laughs and joy beyond measure.

Sitting in the urgent care waiting room and scrolling through photos… last Honey post because I’m unc now but man am I going to miss waking up here and sitting in the living room all day. Thinking about the Lord’s abundant provision in this home and finding hope in his kindness to do it again! It will never be the same but I think that’s what makes it so special❤️ by @caropit_
