Memorial Day Weekend is more than an opportunity to Boat, Bike, or BBQ.

Be there for a Veteran who may have lost a good friend. Remember those who gave all for the opportunity and privileges you may take for granted. Above all, be kind.

Every day, more than 17 veterans die by suicide.
First responders and active duty military face similarly astounding numbers, often in silence.

They are trained to serve under pressure, to act without hesitation, and to stay composed through crisis. They are the ones trained to run toward danger.

Very few are given the chance to pause.

To reconnect with who they are outside the uniform.

Horsemanship creates that space.

It is focused, quiet work.
It builds trust, confidence, and a sense of purpose through simple, consistent connection.

These aren’t small things.
They are often the starting point to something life-changing.

Carousel Horsemanship
For those who serve.

Though horses are born ready to stand and run, they learn everything else from square one by watching their mothers and responding to the world around them.

At just a few weeks old, this foal is already becoming braver and more curious by the day. While our program primarily works with retired horses, it’s important to understand their development at every stage of their lives. Before they were partners in groundwork and grooming, they were learning how to be horses just like we learn how to work with them.

Snow days with Carousel Horsemanship ❄️ Our horses stay cozy with blankets tailored to different temperatures, ensuring their comfort and care no matter how cold it gets.

🎠 Fun Fact: Horses are incredibly adaptable and can endure a wide range of climates, from freezing cold winters to scorching hot summers. Even though they are built to handle extreme weather, they still require special care to stay healthy. Whether it’s extra grooming to prevent their winter coat from getting matted or a cold hose during the heat of summer, horses need tailored attention to thrive in any climate!
