🌟 10 YEARS OF CENTRAL 🌟

This month marks 10 years since we became Principals of Central School of Dancing & Performing Arts... and what a ten years it has been! ❤️

When we took over Central back in 2016, we could never have imagined quite how much this school, and all the people in it, would become such a huge part of our lives.

Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of watching so many students grow up through the school - from tiny dancers taking their very first steps into the studio, to confident young performers heading out into the world to begin their next chapters. We’ve watched friendships form, confidence grow, goals achieved and countless memories made.

There have been hundreds of exams, incredible shows, competitions, performances, workshops, celebrations and plenty of moments behind the scenes that will stay with us forever. We’ve celebrated 50 years of Central, continued a legacy that began back in 1973, and most recently became an ISTD Approved Dance Centre, allowing us to take another exciting step forward into teacher training.

But more than any achievement, we are proud of the community that Central has become. The students, families, teachers and everyone who has supported us along the way are what make this school so special.

Running a dance school is certainly a labour of love, and Central has been at the heart of our lives for the past ten years. We feel incredibly lucky to have shared so many important moments with so many wonderful young people and their families.

To everyone who has danced with us, taught with us, supported us, cheered from the audience, helped backstage or simply been part of Central over the last decade - THANK YOU! ❤️

Here’s to the memories we’ve made, the people who have been part of the journey, and everything still to come.

10 years down... and many more to go! 🥳🌟

✨️ Meet Adam Carpenter - Principal ✨️

Adam, together with his wife Fern, has run the Central School of Dancing & Performing Arts for 10 years.

A graduate of East 15 Acting School, Adam has built a diverse and accomplished career across theatre, television, and film. His experience ranges from Shakespearean performances to screen acting, with credits that include major television series, commercials, radio recordings, and audiobook voiceovers. Notably, he appeared in the TV series Snatch, acting alongside Marc Warren and Luke Pasqualino, which is now available on Netflix, and appeared most recently in The Lady on ITV. 🎬

Adam is passionate about helping students build confidence and self-expression through acting, inspiring them to develop both their performance skills and personal growth. 🌟 by @carpenter2411

Wow. 10 Years married to @fernwilky. I look back at this picture as if it were the 90's, it seems that long ago, but also with a disbelief that a decade has passed by. So so much has happened in that time, but one thing has remained constant. Us. You need people through the highs and lows. To keep you grounded, to lift you up, to tell you things will be ok. To be home. Now, as we are 3, we continue to grow, learn and try and do the best we can in this crazy world. Here's to the next 10 and beyond ❤️ by @carpenter2411

Last week we celebrated this little guys half birthday 🥳💙

You are so loved, Finn. Your little personality is pure joy, your smile contagious and your laughter infectious. Watching you grow is the greatest privilege and we will forever be grateful. 🙏🏻✨️ by @carpenter2411

Happy Birthday Mum & Nanna @julie.carpenter.589 have a lovely day 🎂🎁 by @carpenter2411

Photographers often talk about the “inbetween” moments.

My intention was to photograph Finn on his own while sleeping.
After the first few shots he began stirring - and Fern instinctively reached out to soothe him- this photo is the result.

These are what are know as the “inbetween” moments. Those honest raw glimpses that requires no direction or instructions - they simply happen - and if we as photographers are lucky enough- we get an opportunity to capture it.

This is the real magic. by @carpenter2411

Baby Finn /

10 years after photographing their wedding Adam and Fern invited me back into their home to photograph the newest little addition (and may I say cutest) of the family.

I can’t get over how loved this litte boy is and how wonderful it feels to be invited back into clients lives to capture the start of their next big adventure!!
