Life is a crazy and wonderful mess. Nature is healing. Live life making memories. Spend time with those you love. Love hard. Never give up. Always.

4 years ago this week I was diagnosed with Cervical cancer after asking for a hysterectomy cause I couldn’t handle it anymore. After years of excruciating pain. Of people thinking I was looking for attention. Being accused of making it up.

Yet here I am. Four years later, and a survivor.

Thankfully my scans yesterday gave me the all clear, but I will always have this thing sitting on my shoulders.

So I have to not wait. I have to live. And have been. Because tomorrow is not guaranteed. Getting cancer taught me that. I’ll live without waiting until I run out of time.

@derek_allenj2123 From throwing 94 pitches in 6 innings, 54 of which were strikes, and 9 strike outs on Saturday, to hitting in the line up on Sunday and hitting a triple, a single, and a RBI double. #usascout #perfectgamebaseball #16u #5toolbaseball #classof2029 taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @carriedawnam

Check out my new clients display! This year I’m adding in the matrix, mini trees, and candy canes to his already established display. And next year I will be taking over all his custom sequencing. Right now I am just adding effects to the props mentioned above of his custom songs already done, and then converting 14 Light O Rama sequences to fit his display. Carrie’s LLC is heading your way.

I’m currently also working on a large capital city zoo somewhere here in the US…. As well as a large drive thru display somewhere in the middle of the country. Unfortunately I can’t share where due to NDA… but I’m excited to add those to my resume.

Who would have thought 10 years ago when I started this hobby that I would be here?

This girl has a heart of Gold, a fire in her soul, and a love of the game. From being a #feralbaseballsibling watching her brother @derek_allenj2123 play ball since she was a newborn, to holding her own and thriving on the field herself. Keep an eye on her. #softball #ladywarriorsfastpitch #fastpitch #girlpower taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @carriedawnam

Swing batter batter… Let’s GO Lady Warriors 12U!!! What a great day of softball. Champions of the Silver Bracket. Played 1st, Catcher, and 3rd. She was smacking that ball all day. I’ve never seen Addie as happy as she was today. What a great group of girls, their families, and organization. Makes my heart happy. #softballislife #topgunfastpitch #swingbatterbatter #softball #getdirty taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @carriedawnam

Get it kid!!! Throwing over 80 MPH.. he hit 82 this last tournament. He is in the 93.7 percentile for his class….

FYI… he is one of the youngest in his class… can you imagine if he was being judged for his age group which is a year younger than what he is playing?

I’ve believed in this kid since he was a toddler hitting balls back at me.

How many artists get to get paid to do the art that they love???

This artist does.

I love the creativity that I have with the software that Light O Rama has to offer. To me it’s more than just pretty lights. It’s also emotion. I feel the music, and try to bring that emotion out in the effects. It helps that I sometimes see music in color. Which is why for me it is so difficult to adjust and update other people’s sequences as the color scheme sometimes isn’t something I would use. Which is what I have been doing non stop for the last 6 months… I’ve gotten better at it.

Never let anyone tell you that you won’t be good enough. I’m glad I didn’t because I wouldn’t be here having done large and small scale light shows all around the country. From Large City Zoos, to large City Malls, large city park, a couple Drive Thru displays, and multiple personal residences.

Becoming a certified sequencer with Light O Rama opened up these doors for me, and I am incredibly grateful that I was given the opportunity to learn. And thrive.

Who is excited for my 10th year of doing a light shows?!?!
