“I knew that. I just needed to hear it.”

I hear this all the time during psychic readings, and it’s one of my favorite things someone can say.

Because a good reading isn’t always about discovering something you didn’t know. Sometimes it’s about recognizing something you’ve known all along but haven’t quite been able to trust.

I believe intuition belongs to all of us. Sometimes we just need a little help hearing it beneath all the noise.

And when that recognition happens? That’s where the magic is. ✨

A psychic reading should never leave you feeling like someone else has more authority over your life than you do.

There’s real value in having another perspective, especially when we’re so close to something that it’s difficult to see clearly. A reading can help us recognize what we’ve been missing, find clarity in a confusing situation, or validate something we’ve known deep down but haven’t quite trusted.

But the goal isn’t to hand your power over to someone else.

It’s to walk away with more clarity, more confidence, and a deeper trust in yourself.

That’s what I believe a good reading should offer.

Not every uncomfortable feeling is a problem to solve.

Sometimes sadness is just sadness. Grief is grief. Disappointment is part of being human.

We don’t have to turn every difficult emotion into a healing project.

Sometimes we just need to give ourselves permission to be exactly where we are.

For a long time, I felt like there were two versions of me. The woman doing the work she loves, and the woman doing the work that pays the bills.

But what if our purpose isn’t something we have to wait for?

What if we can bring all of ourselves into the lives we’re living right now, even while we’re working toward something different?

I’m learning that I don’t have to wait for my circumstances to change before I can show up as the woman I want to be.

And that’s been a pretty beautiful realization. ✨

When my daughter Josie was a baby, she was given a terminal diagnosis.

Somewhere in the middle of everything that followed, we went to see an acupuncturist named Mary. She had originally been a pediatrician and had gone on to practice Chinese medicine.

Josie was probably eight or nine months old at the time, and Mary said something to me that I have never forgotten:

The person who knows what Josie needs most is Josie.

So she would line up different Chinese herbs in front of her and let Josie choose.

This tiny baby would look at them and point to one. Mary would pick it up, open the dropper, and Josie would open her mouth and take these absolutely disgusting-tasting herbs without a fight.

After being told that my baby was going to die, one of the things I had to learn was how to listen to her. How to trust what she was showing me about what she needed and when she needed it.

Josie is 23 now. She’s graduated college last spring and is thriving.

I think about Mary’s words all the time in the work I do now.

The person who knows what you need most is you.

Most people who come to see me already know the answer.

They may be confused. They may be afraid to trust what they’re feeling. They may have ten other voices in their head telling them what they should do.

But somewhere underneath all of that, they know.

My job isn’t to know you better than you know yourself.

I can help you get out of the confusion. I can teach you how to recognize what your gut is telling you. I can help you notice the feelings in your body that are pointing you toward one decision and away from another.

But I won’t tell you what to do.

I will help you trust yourself.

What if you could linger and learn from the mystical fall season? 🍂

I’ve created a way to do just that.

I call them Love Letters from the Earth.

And Autumn begins next week.

For the thirteen weeks between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice, I’ll be paying attention to what is happening in the natural world and creating from what I find there.

Each week, I’ll paint a new oracle card inspired by the season and write you a letter exploring the wisdom it holds, along with reflections and practices for bringing that teaching into your own life.

Then I’ll tuck them together, seal the envelope with wax, and send them through the actual mail to you.

You won’t know what is coming each week. That’s part of the magic.

I’ve spent most of my life listening for the places where Spirit speaks: through intuition, synchronicity, animals and plants, the changing seasons, and those strange little moments that make us stop and pay attention.

Love Letters from the Earth is my way of inviting you into that conversation with me.

🍂 13 weekly hand-painted oracle cards
💌 13 letters delivered to your mailbox
✨ One whole season of noticing, listening, and living in relationship with the Earth

The first Autumn Love Letter goes into the mail next week, and Autumn enrollment is open now.

Come spend Autumn with me. I would love to send these to you.

I think there are seasons of our lives when we have to become someone in order to survive them.

And then there are seasons when we get to ask: Who am I now?

I’m somewhere in that question. ❤️

Cicada — Right Timing

There is not one final version of ourselves that we are meant to become. There will be many. We will emerge into one season of our lives, live it fully, and then, eventually, feel something new beginning to take shape within us. Again and again, life will ask us to become someone we have never been before.

Perhaps there is something in you right now that has not yet made its way into the light.

You do not need to drag it out before it is ready.

Give it good soil.

Give it what nourishment you can.

And trust that when the time comes, something within you will know: Now.

And then, dear friend, sing.

From this week’s Love Letter from the Earth. ✨

Maybe you haven’t been waiting.

Maybe you’ve been becoming.

And maybe everything you’ve lived, learned, lost, healed, gathered and remembered has been preparing you for this moment.

I think you’re ready. ✨

Send this to someone you think is ready to emerge.
