According to a Youth Mental Health Report by @taaf, almost half of AANHPI youth scored above the threshold for moderate depression. 3 in 10 young AANHPIs report having planned or attempted suicide in their lifetime.The report stated that the three biggest avenues for support for AANHPI youth are wellness spaces, culturally responsive care and digital tools for mental health. never ever in my wildest dreams did I think my favorite movie would help fund the little non-profit that saved me. 🥹💙-this movie means the universe to me!! As a queer, Asian daughter of Chinese/Taiwanese immigrants who struggles with mental health issues, this movie represented my experience in ways I never thought possible. It’s even helped me communicate, as when I’m feeling particularly low, I’ll tell friends that “I’m being sucked into a bagel” 🥯-@a24 is hosting an auction of props from @everythingeverywheremovie where the proceeds will go to @asianmentalhealthproject @translawcenter & @laundryworkerscenter. In conversation with @FEMINIST, Carrie Zhang (@carrieosities), founder of @asianmentalhealthproject, discusses the importance of intersectionality in mental healthcare, noting historical biases such as the dismissal of women's pain. Zhang founded Asian Mental Health Project in 2019 out of a personal need for community and better mental health resources for Asians. She highlights the significance of community care in mental health, and advocates for systemic changes to make mental health care more equitable and accessible.Currently, Carrie also works in public policy research at a civil rights organization, helping everyday people write laws. 💙 honor your feelings fest 2026 💚If I may be real for a second… putting this together for the fourth time has not been easy. Many important initiatives that serve our communities have lost critical resources. For a while there, we were not sure that this year would even be possible.But where there is community, there is hope.This year, we leaned heavily on our community and people showed up :’) like… over 600 of you which is our biggest turnout ever! We really nurtured our community organizing roots and I’m really proud of the event we hosted.Honor Your Feelings Fest is intended to be a portal, a window for us to see that help is all around us (tangibly this means connecting people with local mental health professionals, cultural healing modalities, social connection, civic engagement and more).I hope we can keep doing this for years to come, in more cities as well. ✨ Our mission is to make mental health and community care more accessible to Pan-Asian communities, and in turn, anyone who needs it. me, my clipboard and a UN General Assembly of Women Breaking Barriers 🤝 🇺🇳 March 31, 2026 - By @risenow.us and @spotlightinitiative - Women Breaking Barriers recognized trailblazing women across industries and across the world. Eeeeeeek! It was an honor and joy beyond my wildest dreams to help produce this event. This was a huge milestone for our team and I am so grateful to @amandangocnguyen for showing us how hope can shatter barriers, build communities and secure rights for 1.3 billion survivors. I am so grateful to be on team @risenow.us alongside @camerontmarsh @flanneryburch @ismary.gp @nathan.duong_ @bella__evans 💖Thank you team @spotlightinitiative & @koyemanifesto ❤️Thank you @indiestudios.nyc for capturing the day 📸 Thank you to all of the amazing speakers, creators and performers who brought this all together 🫶🥺❤️What’s next?
