The last 3 months I’ve made leaps …

I got my keys to my new property venture. My 3rd house.
Going to renovate this 125 year old cottage into something gorgeous

I’ve been living down south closer to my London office and team and practicing the commute into the city! Finding my feet. Had an unreal summer down here ☀️

Lots of walks and exploring - fell in love with so many places

And house viewings (everyday I dream of a house that backs onto the the Thames and a boat I can jump off in summer or fields of land and a quad for honey) 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

But fuckkkk *** land prices down south are mental (and hard to get)

I’ve got a clear plan for the next 6 months and I’m glad I’ve found clarity

I’ve been VERY busy with work. September is always the busiest month of the year, but I truly haven’t seen anything like this. The business is flying and im so proud of everyone 👏

Hired some new staff to join the team and levelled us up 🔝

Done time with the team but also spent a lot of time alone, putting energy into me, family and my goals …

And new connections to build community around me for work and new ventures

And found peace in my own mind …

People call me lucky 🍀

Not just through business but genuinely my mum says all the time “ our Carrie is that type of girl. Fall in shit, come out smelling of roses”. 🌹

Or my sister would say “you’re just lucky you, somethings watching over you”. 😇

But here’s what I actually do:

I increase my surface area for luck 🍀 Let me explain…

I create opportunities for luck to FIND ME.
👉Like … I go to events where I don’t know anyone
🚂 I sit on tables on trains and spark a conversation with the person opposite
I ✅ say yes to things more than I say no
✈️ I solo travel and choose rooms where I know opportunities might come up - like airport lounges, first class, coffee shops or nice hotel bars.
💻 I rarely work from home - most of my staff will tell you, carrie is always in a pub or a cafe with her laptop
I post about things I’m building (where others keep quiet)

I love the concept of serendipity. 🫶

Things I’m doing the next 2 weeks to increase my surface area for luck:

I’m going to the Cotswolds. I plan to sit in Soho farmhouse and just people watch. Mac and cheese, maybe a cocktail. Trust me things may come

I’m living in/near Marlow for a while. Marlow, gorgeous area of the south, young but entrepreneurial people. I’ve rented an Airbnb, I know very little people. But if you’re reading this post and want to meet up or grab drinks- please DM me 🙏🏼
