Yesterday our baby turned 13!! And we all agree that Nash is the best surprise we ever got!!💕

He is so joyful, funny, smart, kind, helpful, a friend to everyone and he is so fun to be around!

He had his favorite breakfast, crepes- and then a football game and they won!! And then he just wanted to make sushi and hang out with his siblings for his birthday! They made him feel so special and loved- which Nash loves to be the center of attention!!

It was his perfect day!! 💕

I started making chocolate chip cookies when I was around 13 years old and I used the betty crocker recipe straight from my Mom's orange, 70’s, binder style cookbook! And I ended up adapting it over time!

You can ask my siblings! In the beginning I had flat batches that spread to the edges of the pan. I also had batches that didn't spread at all! And I couldn't ask Google why my cookies didn't turn out right so I did a lot of experimenting to get it right!

And over the years I have gotten the ratios of fats, flour, sugars, temperature and the timing down to perfection to create these cookies!

My mom and dad, siblings, husband, and children request them often! My kids who have served missions say it's one of the first things they want me to make when they get home! Jared likes them for his birthday as ice cream sandwiches... The kids friends also get so excited if I am making my cookies!

They are really the most simplest cookies so I am always boggled by how much everyone loves them!! But I can tell you these cookies are made with love and mixed with memories and maybe that's why everyone always wants more!!

On baking days I throw on the closest sweatshirt and hat and start shaping my dough! My niece Gwen comes in the mornings and gets to be my assistant today! She loved the jiggle of the loaves and named every single one! Then she helped me cover them and take them out to the fridge!!

And now I am going to go get dressed in matching clothes and then go declutter all the papers off my fridge!😅😅😅

My niece Michaela is back in Provo Utah! Michaela is one of the best humans I know! She is beautiful, funny, smart and genuine! She is Ellie's best friend, in fact I am pretty sure all her cousins think she is their best friend!!

She was working at a head start preschool out in California and her kids loved her so much!

She is now looking for some babysitting jobs here in Provo/orem and she comes with the best recommendations! (Comment below if you know how awesome Michaela is!!❤️)

So If you are looking for a babysitter that actually loves playing with kids and has plenty of experience with all ages and has an open schedule right now- you need to give her a call!

🔥Update🔥

He is going to the Dallas Texas South Mission!!!

Have you been wondering where Milo will go on his mission!?? Well the wait is over!!

His mission call is here!! He is going to read it tomorrow night (the 25th!) when Libby and Michael are home from Montana! He will be reading it at 8 pm sharp at our home! So come early if you want to be here in person!

We will do a Facebook live event too!

Nash was off to his first day of Middle school with his cousin Molly this morning! Nash has two other cousins at the middle school too - Aria and Charlie!! Lucky kid to have so built in friends!

18 pictures for my 18 year old boy - Milo!!!

Milo was born easy going! He was my one and only kid who loved a binky! His sisters are a huge support system for him and he is grateful he has such amazing role models to help him through life! Milos cousins are his best friends! He loves Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and dragons! Milo has been a gamer since he was old enough to hold a controller!

Milo recently started his first job working on campus at the byu mail room and he will start BYU in just a couple weeks! He has also submitted his mission papers and we are waiting to get his mission call to see where he will be serving!

I am so blessed to be this boys mom! He is kind, helpful and willing to be there when you ask! He isn't scared to try new things! He helps his dad a lot with work stuff and Milo is very capable just like his dad to fix stuff and figure out what needs to be done!!

We are so proud of Milo and are excited for all the big things he has coming up!!💕

So this morning we were supposed to get new carpet and we have been working so hard to be ready on time! I even had my family come help me yesterday to make sure we got all the prep done, including removing carpet, taking off doors, painting a bedroom that really needed it and moving everything out of the rooms being done! Trust me it was a lot of work!

But then- due to someone calling in sick - they had to cancel the installation at the last minute this morning! I was so bummed! So now everything has to stay in chaos until Thursday when they will be able to come back!

So I took the boys to lunch because they have been working so hard and then we stopped at the Sodalicious in Provo by the barber shop, because I needed a drink after a day like this!

The kid at the window asked me how my day was and I started to say good but then I was like- you know what- actually it's horrible! And I told them the whole story!

And when they brought my drink out they had up sized it and writen a sweet note on it!! 💕 I think it was also the best drink I have ever tasted!! It definitely cheered me up and gave me the strength to get through my trial today!

I just had to give a shout out to my favorite sodalicious and let them know they served a lot more than just soda today!! Thx!!!💕💕💕
