I still don’t think words can fully capture what this summer means to me. What an incredible privilege it was to spend my days serving the Lord with people who quickly became family. Somewhere between the long days, late nights, endless laughs, and the moments only God could orchestrate, He changed my heart too. I’ll forever be grateful for the lives He allowed me to witness, the friendships He gave me, and the ways He proved His faithfulness over and over again. Halfway through the summer, and somehow God keeps exceeding every expectation🥳✝️!

Session 4, 5, and 6 have been nothing but life changing for me and each and every students I’ve encountered! Praise God for all that he is doing at this camp and for the friendships I have made along the way!!

Hey Carson, Did you take your lap? The ever so dreaded question (at the time) that actually changed my life. I came into this internship excitedly looking for a place to serve and lead. In all reality, was that the real reason I was looking to be an intern? No… I think I was looking for a place to fill a hole in my heart that would help me build confidence to seem like I was excited to serve and lead. I thought that this internship would satisfy my heart and fill the hole where I was missing something… at the time I didn’t know what that something was. So that brings me back to the lap. Hey Carson, did you take your lap today? The answer is yes, I took my lap and this is what I learned. I learned that there is only ONE who can fill me up and that one is Jesus. I’ve spent my whole life searching for things to fill me up and I thought being named an intern would just be another thing, but the name “intern” failed me again.
- This internship has taught me who fills me up, to love well, serve even when no one is watching, and to go the extra mile because it’s what we are called to do!
