I had the privilege of getting to photograph @donnellland 2026 working alongside @erlindalivinglife and @jivantaroberts In one weekend, I had so much fun while also tackling challenges and learning something new each day I was tasked with documenting all of the hard work and dedication behind the scenes that goes into making Donnell Land happen every year. It was beautiful to see a family that cares so deeply about uplifting their community, children, men and women. Not only is Donnell Land a great time, it also provides an environment and the tools for everyone to create a path to achieve success. Austen Rawlings hosted Friday Kids night where we heard from @gailpmason and Money Matters For Youth who educate children and families alike on financial literacy and what responsible finance looks like. @enjoydetroit showed the kids how to have fun while also learning life lessons at the same time Donnell Land really is a big community get together with fun for everyone regardless of age or background, where everyone feels like family. Thank you to @erlindalivinglife for providing the opportunity and entrusting me with something so special. You are one of most hard working and determined people I have met. We all appreciate the work, energy, and love you put into everything you do! Thank you @donnellrawlings for continuing to pour your heart into Donnell Land and providing a community for people that may not have their own, thank you for your generosity. Shout out and thank you to everyone involved who I didn’t mention by name. I went into Donnell Land unsure not knowing what to expect, and left feeling like this is where I belong. by @carter_towner
