as i started this summer, my faith was at a standstill. I questioned why can’t i grow? why do i rarely sit down and spend time with the Lord? why am i doing what i hate but i can’t do the good i wanna do? why is my heart harden now? why do i judge so harshly when i have a log in my own eye? why am i never obedient to Him? why can’t i ever break away from my sin?

these questions were constantly in my mind and i wondered why?

one night after i had finally surrendered to the Lord, i realized that i held onto so much because i wanted Jesus plus something else because i didn’t wanna give everything up. I was convicted one night when i got this thought in my head, “is the Jesus not enough for me? does He need to have something else with Him?” and i realized that ever time i turned to Him i would keep something from my past, so i began to become comfortable. Jesus calls us to be uncomfortable in our relationship, when we become comfortable our relationship comes to a standstill. We must live in a uncomfortable state to grow.

this summer Jesus showed me through surrendering, freedom is found. The Lord had put this on my heart and i knew i needed to share it. by @carterrch1
